T55am 1 - 9.0 br ..is that joke

16.3 HP/t is not good mobility vs Leo A1A1(19.6)/Type 74 (22.9) (or XM803 lol) and none of it’s ammo choices are good for the BR

It was nothing exceptional at 8.7 and it’s probably the worst 9.0 rn by far

If A1A1 can sit at 9.0 so can T-55AM1.

Mere 17% decrease in HP/T is bad, lmao. Sure lets ignore the LRF or increased armor protection or greater selection of aviable ammo.

Edit: Nvmd i cant read.

I got bored one day and threw it in my 10.3 Russian premium lineup. Managed 6 kills with a few people ricocheting off me. That was with me just throwing darts. It’s perfectly viable at 9.0

You mean the tank with a 50% better round, far more mobile, and still having a rangefinder system for longer than 1000 meter ranges…
Sure… Both lolpen each other, but the Leopard will lolpen through far more tanks than just itself and T-55AM1.
T-55AM1 can’t even lolpen itself let alone anything else with more armor.

He is talking about the obj 435 it doesnt have LRF or a greater selection of aviable ammo …

I was talking about the Object 435

Oh snap, my bad, i should prolly learn to read properly lmao.

Yeah, my bad, i cant read.

It would help the T-55AM-1 and AMD a lot if they were given the real penetration of the 3BM25. The 3BM25 was created based on a unified program to create a unified APDS-FS design for the 100,115 and 125mm gun, resulting in the 100mm 3BM25, the 115mm 3BM21 and the 125mm 3BM22. Which means that the basic design of the three bullets was the same, and essentially the difference in penetration would come from the speed of the different guns.

This is the 3BM8, in the image you can see the tungsten carbide core in red, and in green you can see the armor piercing cap made of steel.
100mm bm-8 apds-t

This is the 3BM20 (in the game it is known as the 3BM25). The 3BM20 was created to have ammunition with similar performance to the 3BM8 but using much less tungsten. Its basic design would be the same as the 3BM8, a tungsten carbide core and a steel armour piercing cap, only this time with a flatter shape to improve penetration somewhat at 60º, but in essence penetration similar to 0º.
3БМ20 схема

In this case it is an image of the 115mm 3BM21, but as I said the design is the same as the 100mm 3BM25. In the image you can see in red the tungsten carbide core, this being 0.27kg, while the core of the 3BM20 is 0.17kg. But the most important change is in the armour piercing cap, which goes from being steel in the previous models to tungsten alloy and with a flat tip to penetrate better at 60º. This added to being a somewhat heavier ammunition but coming out at the same speed, since a casing with more propellant, would give better performance to both the 3BM8 and the 3BM20.
115mm apfsds

Again, have you seen how good the round on the Object 435 is? The 115mm with the long-rod APFSDS has literally about the same post-pen lethality as a 120mm long-rod APFSDS. Not to mention that the only vehicles that could have good protection against it are literally in the same nation. The most important part of gameplay is to have the best response to any threat and the vehicle is more than capable of doing that with its great cannon. Vehicles below 9.0 barely stand a chance if it manages to look at them first.

I’m assuming you’re either talking about the T-62M-1 or completely drunk.

Again, have you ever used the 115mm?

Yes
The base T-62 ammo wasn’t great at 8.7, some of the worst APFSDS short of the Type 69s and M41D and it’s what the 435 is stuck with at 9.0

The object 435 doesnt have long rod apfsds… both 3bm3 and 3bm4 are short rod.

Gaijin logic - another happy customer.

The 3BM4 practically acts like a long-rod APFSDS in how lethal it is and how good it is against angles.

No… it is much worse than the 105 dm23 overall… not to mention that it is much more likely to ricochet than even apds.

Agains angles does worse than as well as the later apds or xm578e1 but being at the same time far more likely to ricochet.

I’m just telling about my experience as someone who frequently played this BR. The 115mm with the 3BM4 practically almost always one-shot for me and it felt unfair. It was the 100mm APFSDS that felt horrible to the point I switched to ATGMs as my main ammunition.

It has great speed, great composite armor, gun stabilization, apfsds… buying a vehicle doesn’t mean it will be the most op vehicle forever, if you buy an op vehicle you have to realise that it will get nerfed one day
