Why is the T26E5 going up in br??
The T26E5 cannot even pen the Tiger II H frontally with aphe whereas the tiger can. If the T26E5 goes up in br, the premium Tiger II should 1000% go up and maybe the TT Tiger II H.
WW2 vehicles should NOT be able to face missiles and heat rounds. In my opinion, both the Tiger II and T26E5 should stay at 6.7, but if one goes up, the other should too.
Nah. The T26E5 and the Serienturm Tiger IIs are fairly complementary vehicles, as in, they have opposing weaknesses and strengths. The T26E5 has the stronger turret but a hull weakspot. Both can bypass their respective turret armour by using APCR. Both have muzzle brakes making them sensitive to barrel damage tactics (though the .50 makes it harder to exploit in the former’s case). The Tiger II has better RoF/firepower, the T26E5 has better mobility and can use it to great effect to make it much harder to hit the MG port, while the Tiger II needs to sidescrape the way a KV-1 would.
I’m fine with the T26E5 staying at 6.7, but tbh, I see a lot of copium in this thread too. I play at this BR extensively with Germany and I fight American 6.7 all the time, and I am much more worried when I have to fight a T26E5 than I am when I have to fight a T34 or a Super Pershing, which are also American, also heavies, are at the same BR, and are being played by the same players. It’s the best of these American heavies if you have to brawl in a small map, which means most matches these days. It’s a good tank and should always share a BR with the Serienturm Tiger II in my opinion.
