Back when TURMS released, it used to be 9.7 (with top BR being what, 10.7?).
Facing this thing in something like Leopard A1A1 was absolutely stupid and I would like to avoid having such situation occur ever again.
The game decompressed since then by a lot, we now have 12.7 BR for ground, yet TURMS moved only to 10.3.
Its perfectly right now.
A1A1 is a sniper, people often underestimate how good these specs are
TURMS has 12x zoom on gunner optic on top of having 2nd gen thermals and LRF.
A1A1 had much worse chance of winning the sniper duel back then.
After playing A1A1 and go back to playing mbts with 8x zoom

The UFP cannot stop L26 bar with gaijin tom foolery which happens to everyone, like when a leopard 2a4 stops your round to the LFP somehow.

It could be 10.7 easily especially with the reload buff, but putting it in the same basket as the likes of the ZTZ 99 II and III is just silly.
It has good forward mobility, that much so it’s inbetween the T80B and T72s at 10.3 hwoever it’s genuine lack of thermals brings it down to 10.7.
It is a literal side grade to the 80B, being less mobile with better armour, and obviously now same reload but before the reload advantage.

The leopard 2a4 sits higher, and can pen the entire top / front section of a turms turret as well as pass through just about anywhere on it bar the two thickes points of its composites.
Which a turms in turn has to aim to penetrate on a 2A4 as well. The hull is the weak point on the A4 not hte turret.
I’ve no idea why folks get the inclination the T72AV turms should be 10.7.

This just shows that you have never even touched a T-72. The 2A4 should absolutely shit on the turms any day, assuming the 2A4 driver has at least 1 active braincell.

While the OP’s position is cooked beyond belief and to be chalked to his performance shaping his perception, the idea that the TURMS has good armour is no different.
As far as I can tell, everyone has around the same BR, and up to a full step below, a round capable of punching trough the UFP at any range.
Just played the vehicle earlier today, this absolutely is not the case. I had Christian IIs and Leo 2s and Chally 2s struggle to pen me. If the LFP is hidden/behind a stone fence or something, there is little to no chance they are penning you’re LFP. I also had M900 fail to go through the center of a Turms; it just non-penned (probably hit a troll spot, but the fact they exist is equally a problem). As well as just generally tanking UFP shots to the TURMS.

Since you have no control over the people you get shot by, and thus can’t guarantee that they’re actually competent, it doesn’t mean much. From a pure performance standpoint, the TURMS is not well armoured, and it’s vulnerable to all of the main darts used in the bracket.
I won’t go hunting TURMS in a leopard cause it’s an ugly tank and I don’t have one, but I know that I’d have no issue with 120DM23.
Therefore you can’t talk about his easy it is to use a leopard to pen. Experiences mean more than statistics ever might. I’m telling you from both ends of the spectrum that the TURMS is a struggle to consistently pen the UFP off. It’s not as unarmored as people think, just because “that’s what the stats say”.
Meanwhile I lolpen the UFP the overwhelming majority of the time with almost every 10.7 MBT besides the M1.
Seriously, L26 and M900 struggling against a turms UFP is a skill issue. DM23 should also do more than fine, but at least there is still a very small excuse like being Gaijined sometimes.
You having never played the leopard 2, or any Challenger didn’t stop you from making claims tho…
