I’m debating starting Russia and I’m comfortable with a rank 4-5 premium, which of the 3 should I go with? I have experience up to rank 7 Germany and my fav vehicle is the tiger 2.
None. You should consider the t34 partisan in the market.
Lower br, better experience.
And cheaper

If you want something lower in BR get the T-55AM1, But honestly just get the premium BMPT-72, you really cant go wrong with it.

Why spend 80 buck when you can grind half of the tree with 20 buck

Because the first half of the tree is the easy part to grind, you don’t even need a premium tank, just premium time. The other half of the tree (top tier) is when you need a premium tank.
Should I do that or wait for the in may of 45 pack to go on sale
nope. you got a lot more to grind before 6.3 than after.
considering that we’re talking about grinding the whole tree without skipping lines.
t55am1 is not something you want as you will face far more modern and powerfull enemys.
t34 is good in all aspect plus you can easy grind the tree until 6.3
who russia 7.3 is extremly good. not forgeting that it cost 4x time less. 20$ to 60$
other better option is the kv-122 with good fire power at 5.3 who you can grind the tree until 7.7

my best advice and choice is this:
- buy the t34 partisan in the market for 20$ and grind to 6.3
- buy kv122 and grind to 7.3, downside is slow realod, kinda play it like jagdtiger
- wait for sale 50% to buy a good premium ( event are rare ) ( sadly next 50% sale is in 6 may ) you have to wait a long time
while there more tanks at lower tiers they are much faster to grind. A tank at BR 6.3 takes about 40,000 RP, while a tank at BR 12.7 takes about 400,000 RB.
Also the T-55AM1 is great, it has a good lineup, and it doesn’t get up tiered very much.

your also forgeting the experience of the player, you cant simply throw someone who play ww2 br and never past 7.0 to do good.
he has better experiece and knowladge in ww2 stuff than in 8.0 and + tanks.
hes not asking to suffer and learn in the hard way and make the grind even slower.
I’m currently grinding trough 9.0 Germany. Reason I was asking is because I enjoy that BR range
germany 9.0 tank and ussr 9.0 are day and night different.
apart from the t72, all other ussr tank at that br are simply not as good as the germans ones.

When you say a good tank which do you mean? I’ve test drove the T-80UD and went positive every game. Is that a good option?
