Rockets unguided can be used ~500 meters
Incorrect, you can get rocket kills up to 3km if the helicopter has a ballistic computer (aka the Mi-24A), I’ve gotten couple clips of me doing this at 5km (from memory, somewhere around that) as well. All of these kills were on lightly armoured SPAA however besides 1 being on a Strv 122B+.
You need better wording then, rockets are already unguided and ballistic computers just shows the final arrival point. Guided rockets usually refers to the ability to change the final arriving point whilst in flight.
I thought something fun would be, bare with me more planes… BUT! dedicated plane users. so 16 planes per team and 16 tanks per team with more planes would require more effort to attempt to bomb people.
In the english language rockets are usually unguided, while their guided variants are referred to as missiles.

I beg to differ, both are fine as it is and I usually call them missiles but it was me attempting to keep it on the same word.
“Missiles are also generally guided towards specific targets termed as guided missiles or guided rockets”
I should also mention that we aren’t in English class but a thread about no CAS.
If an aircraft allows a 1KM shot it’s not due to the SPAA’s effectiveness rather the Pilot’s error.
It really isn’t.
It might get more efficient close range but effective it is at an excess of 1km
Even with a ballistic computer, attacks with dumb weapons from longer ranges require a degree of luck. Weapon scatter becomes increasingly relevant as ranges increase. From a km onward the variance can easily be larger than the tank sized targets that you’re shooting at.

Even tho i hate CAS in GRB, even i play CAS. What i think what would help are few things.
- Different BRs for planes for air or ground battles (I think it is in the list in road map).
- MORE SPAAs. Most of the TT still have a massive gaps in TT that needs to be filled (Like a M42 Duster being used up to 8.3 which is pretty much useless). The more SPAAs that are capable, the better.
- There need to be maybe a tutorial for SPAA and how to use them.
- Give SPAAs scouting so they are more usable in games when you arent shooting down planes.
- Increase the rewards for playing SPAAs. I can kill 5 enemy planes and i still be lower in stats under someone who has one ground kill and 3 deaths.
- With the Radar gun SPAAs, most of the time the the aim indicator after you lock air target, it is way off and most of the time the lock is flying around the target, that would be amazing if it would got fixed.

This is not fully true, other than if the planes hit are much lower BR than the battle/SPAA used. This will give a lower reward in Score/SL.
Enemy plane kills (same BR) are higher in rewards than ground on ground and air on ground. Should they be higher? Maybe. But in theory already being balanced, probably all those getting good scores from learning to SPAA or just taking out lame spawn attackers.
Sadly even with 10x more SPAA options and higher rewards I do not believe players will change their ways. The ask of a no CAS option is more just a different dynamic some players wish so no matter what happens in current GFRB there will always be those wanting a different mode for their niche interest, one Gaijin has refused officially (for now, but game overall is as “popular” as ever so the message from ths playerbase is “working OK”, completely contrary to certain arguments against current GFRB.
Thing you will realise in no one has asked since about 2019 (apart from a random question in a random survey where no one expects a reply from nor an official place to ask such a thing - seriously, this is all that has happensd since 2018:
A poorly put together Suggestion (too close to a rant).
A few surveys where at least one person apparently put forward a mystery question and, low and behold, never got a reply (due to it being a terrible place to ask and expect a response).
To be fair…i didnt get the massage you tried to tell there.
yess, people will have different oppinions and so on. I still believe if you complaine about CAS and dont play SPAA “because” it is boring gameplay then you have no rights to complain about CAS as you dont try to fight against it. As some BR, SPAAs are very capable at taking down CAS, at some BRs (especialy with those where is huge SPAA gaps) arent that great, but still.
One, I do not think rewards are less for ground on air than air on ground/ground on ground.
Two, changing of rewards will not really matter. Often this is just a poor excuse, people just “don’t want to”. This is just my opinion of course but I see you have similar thoughts about use.
Three, this topic is about a TO option in games. The main positive argument would be about having a different dynamic in said TO battles. No matter how GFRB is altered the wanting of a TO is not lowered for such players.
Last bit, to show the “history” of this topic of a No CAS game option being so poor you can expect nothing to have changed since 2018 when a popular TO thread was started on the old forums regarding this.
