Gripen in fact cannot use it. Old af analogue derby based shitstick wouldn’t work with Gripen. You can look it up.

Correction, this is an H-4 Raptor II, a rocket boosted variant of the H-2 Raptor I. It doubles the range from 60km to 120km.

if france gets to have some of its exports, like : the F1EQ-5 & -6 (~12.3), the F1EM / MF2000 (~14.0)
the Super F1AZ would be able to fill the gap between them (~12.7-13.0, like the 2000D-RMV)
there is already precedent for export-models, to appear in their exporter’s tech tree, even some of the heavily modified ones, like the F-14 IRIAF, TAM 2C, or Jaguar IS

The ASTRAC consortium (comprised of Thales and Sagem Défense) made the MF2000 upgrade package, for the Royal Morrocan Air Force
and Dassault Aviation was the one who integrated the upgrades to the F1EQ, for the Irarqi Air Force
if, by your standards, the principle should be :
“they didn’t do the modification, so it doesnt’ belong to them”
then the F14 IRIAF shouldn’t be in the US tree, because IACI did the upgrades,
the Jaguar IS shouldn’t be in the UK tree because HAL did the upgrades,
and the TAM 2C shouldn’t be in the German tree because Elbit Systems, IAI and Tadiran did the upgrades
again, i’m not aggaisnt these vehicles being where they are, and i’m not aggaisnt south africa getting its aircraft projects, i’m just saying, france could also use more Mirage F1s, specially rank-8-worthy ones.
On the face of it, no, there’s nothing wrong with that. However there has never been a vehicle added to a subtree nation which appears under that subtree nation’s flag in another tree after the establishment of the subtree. There aren’t really many vehicles in the game that are both unique to a subtree and feasibly added to a parent nation, but as an example, if the Malaysian MiG-29N were at some point added to Russia (assuming Russia operated it), it would not be under Malaysia’s flag, it’d be under Russia’s. This is a problem in the case of the Super Mirage F1 because France never operated it. Heck, they didn’t even do the Super Mirage F1 upgrades. The aircraft had been out of France for decades by the time of the Super Mirage program. Therefore France could not receive it under their flag, nor could they receive it under South Africa’s. So there’s no claim to this aircraft for France.

actually, i did forget that they announced it in the fishbed bison devblog of all things.
they have, like, 2 researchable vehicles, they really should be asking gaijin for a fuller subtree. although that could pose some problems with the many russian and french imports india has / has had.
