i would see it fair at 12.7, 12.3 looks too low for a plane with 4 IRCCM missiles, if MiG-21 can be 12.3 with 2 IRCCM missiles and bad R-27R, why couldn’t this F1? at least with 530F it would be fair at 12.7.
i mean the JAS39 doesn’t have the thing making that Gripen unique, being the South African IR missiles, same with the AFA-18 missing the ASRAAM
Nah, they gave us Darter, which is inferior to AIM-120 (back in the day when ARH except Phoenix came out)

Oh, IR Darter? nah, it cannot happen, I reckon Gaijin probably just c&p IRIS-T and label it as JAS39C Late.(SAAF)
no ARH with 2x AIM-9L & 2x AIM-9M stock at 14.3+.
unless A-Darter is infinitely worse than IRIS-T in all aspects.
If A-Darter acts worse than IRIS-T, then Gaijin could give JAS39C SAAF A-Darter, just like how they gave R-Darter.
While other JAS39E(Late) gets IRIS-T equivalents.
The derby/darter is seperate to the A-darter, its more akin to a IRIS or ASRAAM

So, about A-Darter, I think we can only get it when it acts worse than IRIS-T significantly.
If we consider precedents.
If they weren’t, we would’ve got Super Mirage F1 either one of French or British Tech tree.

i dont think the Super F1 got them, only V3b/C, magics and R-73, i just find the SAAF Gripen kinda soulless because of the lack of uniqueness
Problem with this Mirage is the limited countermeasures IMO, anything above 12.3 would be a death sentence.
It would likely get the extra countermeasures of the regular CZ or AZ

The South Africans really hated the wing-mounted RIMS dispensers, so much so that they were never used operationally or adopted in any significant numbers. But who knows, maybe if they don’t model the drag, it’ll be fine. Or they could simply buff the fins and give them 30 flares per fin, like the chaff dispensers. In any case if the do add the wing mounted ones I hope they are a selectable option in the loadout configurator and we arent forced to take them.
The pilots simply hated it because of the increased drag and speed decrease, they also never really needed it in combat

How much does it have
30 Flares or 60 Chaff, if you go mixed 15 Flares and 30 Chaff.

It did not. The regular AZ could carry underwing dispensers but like it was mentioned above the pilots hated them because of the drag and it was never used operationally. They carried the same amount as the fins, so the load would be double what I mentioned.
