The Mirage F1 is one of my favorite aircraft. But please, dont give it to UK, give it to France. The red team has almost nothing to counter the blue team at 12.0-12.3 in Sim EC, we need more vehicles in that range for the reds.

South African vehicles go to UK for the foreseeable future. Unless gaijin changes they’re mind, it’s going to the UK.

AIDA II
“This miniature lightweight system is designed for light interceptors and aircraft with restricted accommodation in the nose. It can also be installed in pods for under-wing mounting as seen in some versions of the Dassault Mirage V. The system automatically searches for, acquires and provides ranges of air or sea targets within a cone of 18°. The antenna is fixed and the pilot points the aircraft in the direction of the target. Used in conjunction with a gyroscopic gunsight it supplies all the information for interception and attack with guns, rockets, bombs or missiles. The operating frequency lies in the I to J band and the transmitter power is between 80 and 100 kW.”

Question about the radar, is it a range finding or Fire Control radar? When I’m flying in Sim, will I want to have it on so I can see what is in the air? or off so that I don’t alert anybody?

And compared to the standard Elta radars, which radar is the AIDA II more equal to? Thanks

Range finding, its really only meant to give you a radar gunsight for what ever is more or less in the HUD FOV. Its similar to the EL/M-2001B on the Kfir C7 (which isnt modeled correctly in game.)
