Sukhoi Su-57 Felon - Technical details, Analysis and Discussion

Nice then, I was wondering when we could see one on russian fighters (in wt I mean), by any chance, does the Su-35 get anything similar?

No a HMD like the EFT or Rafale

I heard about something, gotta ask someone real quick

It is apparently called НВУ-7, it is still using the monocle and looks like this:

What’s the thing with HEAVY 5th Generation Fighter!

Do they do a soft prog-rock version?

heavy and light fighters were a thing for a while,

F-16 - light fighter
F-15 - heavy fighter

Mig-29 - light fighter
Su-27 - heavy fighter

Su-75

Not really.

Besides the ‘Light Fighter Competition’ which gave us the F-16 - Western air forces don’t make that distinction. You won’t find references to heavy/light in any doctrine for example. The only area where you might is with regards to lift capability - e.g. cargo types.

Nor even did the Soviet VVS to be honest. MiG-29 being the VVS (Frontal Aviation) and Su-27 being PVO (Air Defence Forces) pet projects.

The whole thing smacks of marketing spiel. Unless the HEAVY bit is regarding the liberal use of wood screws? =)

(The jokes write themselves with the Felon… they really do.)

I see, using the low tier prehistoric era ragebaits again…

Have they upgraded to sticky-back plastic then?

Wdym?

Never mind. Blue Peter joke.

tbf, at least the US tends to use the term high-low

which started with f-4 and f-5, then f-15 and f-16, and now you could argue f-22 and f-35

idk how they manage sub 8km range

but it does explain why they would blatantly cheat giving range including in air refueling
