a billion times is a massive overstatement
Yes
People was really confused that it was limited only to 7g when it was first show. Turn out that this thing started as something a kind to the Su-25. Then the project started to integrate more thing. And now its this Light/Cheap Stealth fighter. I didn’t like it at first. But when they change the design so it more of a fighter. It grow up on me. Imo its good that it didn’t end looking like a F-35/J-35. Hope Russian never goes with easy design like these. And in the Future they don’t remove Vertical Stabilizer from Fighter. They look Damm ugly without them.
Pic showing different schemes of the LTS.
Its interesting that in Su-75 they show the serrated edges, but in Su57 they keep it embedded deep within the radome
Definitely looks like it has taken inspiration from the F-32 (X-32)

not really
There was a render of the finished version and they streamline down the intake and like the F-35A the F-32A would not have the additional lift engine for VTOL.
It is very similar to the F-35 and propsed F-32 crossed.

It looks like the X-32, if the X-32 wasn’t so… you know… special.
apparently Su-57 should have a total of 3 IRST, The function of 101 KS O DIRCM turrets is also like 101 KS V IRST, meaning it has a sensor within it to scan the sky

Here you can see the DIRCM spinning and scanning the sky
judging by the change in the tilt of the “mirror” a dircm turret does a whole scan in around 3~ seconds
Feel like that would still only be useful for air to air threat…
The main irst is probably wired to also have some sort of air to ground functionality I would assume like ols 35
Would the ldircm turrets have lasers for air to ground ranging?kinda doubt it
range and quality would be worse than the main irst ofc, but honestly i think i can expect 20km frontal detection
no idea tbh
highly likely that it has some a2g capabilities
even the Mig-29 had some limited ones with its IRST/ its integrated LRF

“Maximum range against Ground targets 5 to 8km with the LRF”
(loosely translated)
It would be basically copy paste su-57. Idr c a reason why to add it
Could be the f18c early to the Su-57 and Su-57M
@quartas121 beat me to it but yes, it could basically be the F-18C early version of Russia’s tree when 5th gen planes come.
At least fa18c early has a different radar (I think?) and different engines as well as armament. Ig what they can do is just not add r77m and r37m to the su-57e and only leave it with r-77-1s and r-74m2… which is still odd because its ir missiles would mean it would have to be top tier no matter what (weapons bay only fits r74m2)
The Early is quite different from the F/A-18C Late, but otherwise it is an exact copy of the F/A-18A (with just extra weaponry)
