Cubanace also had a “reputation” in the DCS community and altough he did figure out some truly interesting stuff on how to make mods, his Su-57 mod was always mid at best imo

There’s a name I’ve not heard in a long time, crazy

i tried the mod too, it was just kinda terrible. su30 mod on the other hand is just outrageously good

Pretty decent for the available stats right now.

It really pisses me off when people shit on the felon. It’s larger than the F-22 and WAY bigger than the F-35, of course it’s going to have a bigger radar return.

Well it’s really not about size. The F-22 is more stealthy than the F-35 despite being much larger. I agree though.

Idk, overall material use attributes to the small amount of radar that does reflect off the structural elements if they aren’t completely deflected or re-directed. The F-22 used Titanium for the airframe, I couldn’t tell you the F-35 or Su-57.

I couldn’t tell you the effects of radiation sine exposure on the materials, and their difference, but it may have something to do with titanium and some of its odd properties.

The Su-57 mainly uses composites and about 70% titanium, which explains the slow and tedious development and production process, in a very similar situation to the F-22.

You’re mistaken, physical size does not relate to RCS so directly. It’s shape that dictates most of the interaction.

Redacted the B2/21 points on broadband stealth, reading more on it I think I’m wrong on the reasons for it.

I recommend this as a starting point for stealth topics:

It’s also a completely unconventional design, which lacks the largest contributor to radar reflection, being wings and stabilizers. It does this by becoming the wing. In a very similar fashion, the F-117 is still hailed as an engineering masterpiece and has a very small cross section.

Another image confirming the radar blocker, and how a radar blocker works.

people crap on it because of how terrible the development and procurement is and was. and how much hype there was behind it
