su57 is goated

Japanese tech tree really boutta to have every single fighter jet ever created
Funny thought but I doubt it as these supposedly will take until early 2030s to be delivered, same for the Vietnamese ones.
Would be crazy if Malaysia picks su-57
This plane is definitely going to be so op when it comes right
Other way around.
The AL-41F-1S uses a 2 phase EEC. If the engine happens upon any issue it can’t simply run through, it falls back to a secondary computer that puts the engine in damage control and dynamically varies parameters to keep the engine up for as long as possible.
The AL-41F-1 is a single phase EEC. It takes in data and keeps the engine running, but as soon as anything screws up it goes back to a preset run condition with a crap ton of hydromechanical computers running the engine.
The AL-41F-1 technically has more thrust because it, unlike the F-1S, cannot physically be “trimmed” for efficiency and lifespan.
Fully digital control lessens thrust output. Hydromechanical control allows it to run raw, even if it’s wrong.
We won’t know for sure until it comes out. Hope they do a full blanket nerf to DIRCM though, even though su 57 carries only 42 countermeasures.
also 42 decoys + deployable jammer.
Will BVVD consider addition of a new “very large countermeasure” for some aircraft with cms larger than regular large cm?
i dont know what is larger than large but maybe.
also here is the post talking about jamming CMs in the su57
I just have a feeling 5th gens will be released with regular chaff and flare with some copy paste ecm,
not next gen countermeasures so I’m looking at it from that perspective, but if they do implement such things by this year I hope they’ll be implemented in a not too buggy way
This is weird, because every single media source claims that F-1 has electronic controls, while F-1S has older electromechanical one. Where did you get this info? I am now also curious to find the correct version.
Such as?
Touring Samara Polytech for the few years I was in Russia. They do a large majority of materials research for both military and civilian UEC platforms.
They specifically have a leftover AL-41F-1 in their Kuznetsov museum. I myself have done some work as a Pratt & Whitney rep after a few too many years working on F100s and running F119s, so I had a few questions primed for them.
Huh, well, if what you’re saying is true then I will respect your authority in the matter
Keep questioning anyway man, no person can be correct about everything… Especially not me.
Fair point. I’ll try to check anything I can find on the engines from decently reliable sources.
So, if what you’re saying is true then F-1S is more advanced than F-1? Or it isn’t as simple and straightforward?
