Honestly i’ve found the J-15 not to be that bad, at least in SIM. If you ignore the dogshit cm count it is actually pretty good, at least as long as they don’t shoot down your missiles.

Yeah, these seem more like the bvp 60 26 of the mig-29 kind of counter measures as they’re 26mm.
Either way though, it means counter measure can go up to around 192 for 6 block config or 256 for 8 block config.
Probably what someone would take is 192 normal cms as chaff and then 28 large calibre for flares

This is a big line of “technical compatibility” but this might be very helpful for MiG-29K or 35 if UV-5-08 would be found compatible. 64 countermeasures is much better than 32 even if they are large calibre

You also sick of flying a 60s F-4E against an 1984 MiG 23 MLD?
AIM-9L is most certainly not from 60s
F-4E with agile eagle, smokeless engines and mavericks is around 1971-72, 9Ls was in production in around 77. This isn’t as big of a time gap as you are trying to imply. And ouside of poor performance of E-2 in this game mode specifically (people completely refuse to fly above 60 meters of the ground) it is a pretty balanced fight

Aside from event F4E doesn’t get access to Aim-9L’s nor Pave Spike targeting pod.
Current F4E is just Frankenstein version that lacks many weapon and features tbh.

If not for the radar that barely works at the deck - it would easily be an 11.7 aircraft

Radar/ missiles are the only thing keeping F4E from bein 11.7-12.0 in ARB.
If it had PD radar alongside with Aim-9L/Aim-7F like EJ Kai it would’ve been easily 12.0.
7E-2 are goated wdym? 9Ls are nice to have but it isn’t the end of the world. All in all, i wouldn’t mind current F-4E with more reliable radar at 11.7 because i easily finished spading it with k/d close to 2 with barely any problems

I also have over 2 K/D ratio in that thing iirc but I don’t enjoy it anymore.
only reason i dropped E is because i have access to J.
