No. AL-37F (or FU) was a separate engine, but it wasn’t finished. I think several units were produced for static tests but none were installed into the airframe. But developments from this program were used in AL-41F and later in AL-41F1

Yeah, Su-37 was using AL-31FP. AL-37FU was said to be an upgrade later down the line, but you know how absolutely sad Russian economy was at the time.

That’s exciting news!.I think gaijin will distinguish between two versions of the su35s ,one of the Soviet(AESA),and the otheris for oher countries.(PESA)
