Every aircraft is like that around those speeds. You have to really pull the stick to bleed enough energy before you enter the mid sub-sonic range were small stick movements can easily rip your speed in half.

I think with F-20 it is really simple.
It would have received AIM-120 if it had entered service.
Technically last prototype’s radar was capable of guiding Aim-120’s and rails were compatible with Aim-9M model.
So technically Gaijin could just give Aim-120+9M loadout and raise its br to 13.0-13.3.

I wish they had done that innitially. We can only hope for a second F-20 to be added.
There is no other F-20 actually.
Ingame version is the last prototype which means either it will receive loadout upgrade or not at all.
Tbh this is perfect time to upgrade its arsenal and give premium Fox-3 carrier to USA.

saying that the AN/APG-67V1 is able to fire the AIM-120 becasue the AN/APG-67V4 is, is also nonsense
