nah al37 never existed, su37 used prototype al31fp
You sure because I can swear Sukhoi bureau used Al-37 engines after certain time which was basically the initial version of Al-41’s in terms of capabilities.
Erm the al41f1 su27m is arguably faster as it give 500kgf more thrust per engine, and is 500kg lighter
nah al37 ended up never being installed on su37

you might be confusing it for the su-27m bort 710 which tested both al41f1s of su-35 and su-57 al41f1
Nope, only a single book ever mentiones AL-37. Data from AL-37 development was used in development of AL-41F1 this is true, but AL-37 was never built
Let’s not count flying laboratories, we are talking about production versions or how production version would’ve look like.
Man i want bort 710 (al41f1)so badly…
Would be 14.0 arguably
but yeah, at high altitude its limited only because of the temperature of the engine. It could easily go faster if it wasn’t for that. Similar to mig-25
Can be it that some sources accidently calls AL-31FP engines as AL-37 or was it just misinformation at all?
that too, but originally it was that al-37 was supposed to eventually be installed on it, but it never came to be and was refitted with standard al31f engines eventually
Misinformation. Su-37 was never re-engined outside of getting it’s original AL-31F engines
Virgin su37 vs chad t10m 710
muh thrust.
What’s funny is that it could either get su-35s engines (izd 117s) or su-57 engines (izd 117).
It tested both
Su-37 had different FBW system that allowed fro greater maneuverability. In WT this is a no-factor but IRL difference would be quite significant
I think this where i got confused cause i remembered that at some point they installed AL-37 on Su37, guess i remember it wrong.
Thanks the information.
There’s just so many… Way more than SM1’s back before the update.
On many occasions playing JP/FR/GB more than 2/3’s of my frags are just SM2. I, in fact, did count. Before the update it was pretty even split of flankers/EFs/f15s/f18s.
But what matters in game is the more thrust and lighter weight of the other plen :D
117* :p
at least with su-27m its confirmed that it would’ve gotten l-150 had it gone into production, while other planes like 90s mig-29m would’ve likely used spo-15t (digitalized spo15)
Flavour of the month aah aircraft. As soon as we get something with better kit (unless Gaijin will pull Rafale 2.0 move but with a Flanker) they will dwindle in numbers massively
