Sukhoi Su-27/30/33/35/37 Flanker series & Su-34 Fullback - History, Design, Performance & Dissection (Part 2)

What is the max missile count on the su57

10 missiles. 2 less total missile loadout compared to f-22

izd 750 is r74m, izd 760 is r74m2, izd 170-1 is r-77-1, izd 180 is r-77m.
internally, all it can use is r-77m and r-74m2

Even if only counting the outer pylons (I don’t see why it couldn’t take AIM-120 on inner ones) it can bring 12 missiles

yeah low k forgot f22 takes double pylons on the outer pylons and not single ones. so yeah su-57 actually has the least amount of missiles on 5th gens until either triple pylons go into service or they add double pylons to the outer pylons

J35 will be the worst in terms of missile count

no ? J35 carry 4 internal and 2 ir on the side. plus 6 pylons outside on the wing

I haven’t seen pics of any outer pylons yet

So what are your thoughts and considerations on the SM2 after roughly 2 months of air RB?

Pretty good plane, nice to have a complete package now. before it was always lacking something overall depending on the variant. Now you have everything

BORINGGGGGGG.

Also despite having IRBIS radar the range is also pretty trash.

Yeah being limited to sub 100km (unless you use HDN) is kinda meh, I don’t understand why sometimes they limit the reach of these radars, like for example the Su34 gets its full 200km reach.

Same goes for Rafale, its radar limited to 74km for god knows what reason.

the AESA EF and Gripen E also get around 200km

but well it cant really be reported, like anything new these days

oh boy i cant wait to use my R-37M to get that 150km kill

Add tankers and AWACS as well, so that they have no chance of evading it :)
