They don’t. PERO only ever existed as a ‘ESA’ proposal for N001, never actually implemented.

IRL the N001 doesn’t have any DL, only later VE/VEP versions do, they only added it cause they can’t be bothered with J-11A, which has a modified N001, with DL. The actual difference should be slightly range although I don’t see how it matters, and whether DL or not.

I tested it pretty extensively and both kh38mts and agm65ds generally stay around 10km for a proper track lock against MBT sized targets.

it seems like the Su-35S empty weight is 19 tons after doing some napkin math
Normal take-off weight is 25300 kg
2x rvv-ae + 2x r-73e weighs 564 kg (taken from WT)
assuming that normal fuel load on the Su-35 is still 50% of max internal fuel load, like described in the Su-27SK manual
11500 / 2 = 5750kg
so empty weight should be roughly:
25300 kg - 564 kg = 24736 kg
(normal take-off weight - weight of weaponry)
24736 kg - 5750kg = 18986 kg ~19 tons

So weight wise we are still looking at Su30 levels, as we kinda expected, not the end of the world I guess.
Maybe less draggier airframe in wt due to no canards, but I have no real knowledge on that.
yeah, done the same napkin math and got similar results to you. plus it lines up with pilots interviews so its likely that its 19000 kg
Well I mean not like the SM2 isn’t insanely good already, but Su35 should be just as good, if not better if it’s slightly faster.
