If that’s what it looks like nowadays, thank god they changed the design from the original…

i mean, for wt purposes 177s would be the same as al41f1s for afterburning thrust, and slightly better in dry thrust. Though, if for some reason they stick in product 177 instead, that would be a very interesting development indeed

Should also have a bit less IR emission because of serrated nozzle, no? But for WT this will mean very little i think, not at this level of Fox-2 performance

idk if 177 has full all aspect tvc like rd-133 or its stuck with canted tvc like al31fp and al41f1

Most likely canted. The ones on exhibitions were shown with straight nozzles, so most likely didn’t had any sort of TVC installed on them

There is one image that goes around alongside the name of Izd 177

This one looks like KLIVT system that was installed on MiG-29OVT and on Salyut upgrades for AL-31F-M, but obviously no concrete evidence that this is Izd 177 or 177S engine.

All in all, 177 is designed by Saturn, so most probable outcome, as i said, would be canted TVC because it was their go-to design for every single engine before and they had some beef with Salyut over royalties for selling AL-31F engines so i’m not sure that Salyut would just give them their own technology.

Nah time for Su-57 with R-77M,R37M plus LDRCM Xd.

Soon… in 10 years?

Su-57 being slightly faster having far fewer missiles and limited Stealth wouldnt be game breaking to be honest.

Completely invulnerable to IR missiles. Easily notching any ARH due to stealth while still guiding its own missiles via side radars.

Isn’t this game is full on Russian Bias? You constantly say so, so by your logic Su-57 will absolutely nuke Mid-22 out of the sky and will be faster, more maneuverable and armed with better missiles

Su-30s strength is 14 missiles decent fm and an insane Radar.
Su-57 can carry 6-8 ARHM and 2 IR missiles, have a superior FM more inline with Eurocanards and a Superior Radar.

Unless ARHM receive a massive buff then having a fewer missiles will be a disadvantage.

F-22 should be better as should J-20 but ultimately Su-57 will be incredible. With F-35 being the stand out worst

lets hope that they test them on the su35 soon so that it atleast brings some difference over the sm2
