“Onboard OLS allows you to detect and track multiple targets at a range of over 80kms”

is this referring to the IRST or something else? and if referring to IRST, how much we wanna guarantee that Gaijin will still limit it to 50kms?

every IRST ingame is limited to 30km

Nevermind, prolly still either forgotten or just balance limitations. Not like clouds exist quite a bit

It wasnt even best to begin with… MLD was still superior to tomcat in everything but horizontal turn.
I liked R-24Rs with back then MTI 1000000 times more than bugged sparrow F that more often flew in the opposite direction of target, refused to guide, lost guidance mid-way or simply missed because of turn.
Meanwhile 24Rs had significantly better time to target in effective range of both missiles, guided and actually connected, they were pretty much 2 guaranteed kills.
MLD was sh*tting on top tiers for over half a year, maybe longer and tomcat changed nothing, i ate tomcats for lunch in MLD.

The MLD was a lot stronger than it is now, and the Tomcat was always better than the MLD in one circle or two circle. What you experienced was crap pilots flying Tomcats.

This is not Su-30SM2 and yet it is called SM2 in the documentary. Media is consistently inconsistent.
