Sukhoi Su-27/30/33/35/37 Flanker series & Su-34 Fullback - History, Design, Performance & Dissection (Part 2)

do they mention engines at any point in this ?

They literally terminate at the same angle, 40 degrees

They say they are testing an airframe with new engines (117S), and it is planned to come in serial production in the future

Looks like su30sm can technically carry irbis anyways as su30mk 503 was seen with it for game purposes.
Ofc irl it wouldn’t but for in game based on technical feasibility gaijin will probably somehow BS their way into giving it it

do you have a timestamp for when?

you can literally see in your own picture that the shape is different and that the radome of the Su-30 only goes to 40° at the very end where as the Su-35 one holds the 40° angle for longer

also

this isnt lined up properly

its actually more than 40°

We’d be looking at a folder vehicle if no meaningful changes came to it.

Well, better hope for that then, engines got denied.

Everything else isn’t meaningful.

At about 11:45

thanks

problem with upgraded engines is it takes away from the impact of the Su-35 when that is added.
When Su-35 comes probably next year it will have MAWs, new Radar and upgraded power plants along with maybe new missiles.

Just barely. The Su-30SM’s radome is also just straight up longer. The Su:35’s radome looks fatter because it is shorter.

I’m sure it will, doesn’t change the fact that the SM2 is a ridiculous attempt to try and shut up the cry for the MKM.

As mentioned before by Ron, Su-35 was the jet that needed to be added, not this minimal effort slop.

I agree! They are likely going to add the Su-35 with a new BVR missile maybe R-77M
Otherwise it makes no sense not having F-15EX and Su-35 in game at this point
