Sukhoi Su-27/30/33/35/37 Flanker series & Su-34 Fullback - History, Design, Performance & Dissection (Part 2)

you can see very well in this picture that the radome of the Su-30 starts tapering sooner than in the Su-35

basically like this:

(red symbolizing Su-30 and blue the Su-35)

the IRBIS needs that extra space to move a round freely

Yeah, still don’t see it

Would be funny if they did fit Irbis, but did not changed raddome to accommodate, relying on digital scan to compensate restricted mechanical

Here is irbis on su30mk bort number 503

@ron_23 just leave that dude he is prob just us main slop who is hating for nothing

interesting that the radome is clored like on the chinese flankers

Su-30mkk prototype that’s why (that was used as flying laboratory later on in life)

so the 30MKK premium should get the IRBIS then

Here is a better look at its radome, does it look like the su35 radome or more like su30sm one?

Well, MK2 and MK in terms of airframe itself are identical anyway

China bias

Epic embed success

for some reason it dosent work in a spoiler

Low k I wonder if someone would unironically try to report that

do they mention engines at any point in this ?

They literally terminate at the same angle, 40 degrees
