It has neither of those
So it’s not an upgrade over the Su30sm, in wt terms.
it does have R-37M access however
and also apparently a better BARS derivative radar. atleast in terms of range, we dont know the designation.
Fair enough, I always thought it had access to the Su35 engines, but since it doesn’t I would take the Su35 with R37’s over the SM2 with R37’s, as everyone would ig.
IIRC it was mentioned that SM2 will go through modernization and new engines are on the table, but thats it, just an interview
Ok, thanks for clarifying.
I saw a documentary about the factory, about 8 month ago. There was mentioned that new airframes for SM2 are modified to fit new engines. We could probably see them this december or next year, depending on how long it takes to fully assemble an Su-30
Why would you develop a carrier aircraft for a carrier that doesn’t work
It just hasn’t aged well
Gotta love that afterburner color
Was looking at the dubai airshow footage to see a bit of the Su57, but came across the Hal Tejas incident, rip pilot.
something happened? I haven’t looked trough airshow apart some glances on Russian exhibits
Hal Tejas made a strange maneuver and slammed into the ground.
Oh, rip. Pilot work is quite dangerous even without combat. Hope his family will be taken care off.
every ARH is nerfed in some way
@FeetPics you just have to make a vers.3 but replace “Su-27” with “J-11 (Chinese designation for Su-27SK)”
I actually wonder if they would implement this kind of stuff. For example, the n019/n001 radar loses track if you roll too much and too fast, and that isn’t modeled. Neither is flight speed limits depending on ordinance, etc etc
well its the engine malfuntion, same with hydraulic fail/leak, there is some image that show that the engine had white smoke comming out on the side
Radar roll stabilization is modelled. Not for rolling too fast, but for rolling too much.
