as far as i know, AAM-4 and PL-12 are deliberately nerfed in the game for the sake of balance. That’s why gaijin ignores bug reports about them. R-77 however might get a chance to actually recieve a buff, we’ll see.
imo if they implement this buff they need to fix all other fox 3s as well. aam4, pl-12, amraam etc
if they fix this they absolutely have to undo their amraam fin AOA nerf
to be fair I would report it if I could get sources for it. like I’ve been asked to make bug reports on completely stuff and i can as long as the sources are valid, the thing with amraam is that there aren’t any proper sources for its hobs performance
how deep did the saboteurs have to go to get the arms procurement office to approve an aircraft without an RWR
A little reminder. The only fighter that was in service with Admiral Kuznetsov was the Su-33 … Which until the early 2000s was also without RWR.
Can’t forget about the ~2 or so surviving 29K 9.31s from the 80s program that still flew around till a couple years after the 9.41 deal. :)
(Which had SPO-15LM)
Depends on a role of said aircraft. And how its defencive suite is organised. We don’t know in details how effective Khibiny is, with strong enough EW you might not necessarily need an RWR. But yeah, placing it just in case should’ve been considered at least.
It costs money.
It’s still truly sad how robbed Su-33 was in it’s development and over the years… If only the VMAF wasn’t chronically on the back burner after their once a decade and a half big purchase…
Nice to see, hopefully in the next dev server this can be worked on if the review from devs is positive.
We have all heard that famous Patriot defense from the Su-34 the Ground controller can see everything.

Why only 10kn?
Why reply here
Edit: nvm, didn’t go all the way up and thought it was just about hornets
My bad for not specifying, original thread got closed.
It was already reported but this guy’s report was completely ignored… they’re keeping these missiles nerfed on purpose
It’s 132.4 vs 142.5ish.
40 would mean 172.x thrust, which we know it’s not producing.
That’s probably using the dcs simulation paper… not a proper source
Isn’t the AL-41 straight up jumping to 14500kgf, from the 12500 of the base AL31?
Now ofc 14500 won’t be the number of installed thrust we’ll have in wt but I would expect somenthing close to it at least
The Su-27SM doesn’t use the standard AL-31, it uses the AL-31FM1.
