Depends on a role of said aircraft. And how its defencive suite is organised. We don’t know in details how effective Khibiny is, with strong enough EW you might not necessarily need an RWR. But yeah, placing it just in case should’ve been considered at least.
It costs money.
It’s still truly sad how robbed Su-33 was in it’s development and over the years… If only the VMAF wasn’t chronically on the back burner after their once a decade and a half big purchase…
Nice to see, hopefully in the next dev server this can be worked on if the review from devs is positive.
We have all heard that famous Patriot defense from the Su-34 the Ground controller can see everything.
I
Why only 10kn?
Why reply here
Edit: nvm, didn’t go all the way up and thought it was just about hornets
My bad for not specifying, original thread got closed.
It was already reported but this guy’s report was completely ignored… they’re keeping these missiles nerfed on purpose
It’s 132.4 vs 142.5ish.
40 would mean 172.x thrust, which we know it’s not producing.
That’s probably using the dcs simulation paper… not a proper source
Isn’t the AL-41 straight up jumping to 14500kgf, from the 12500 of the base AL31?
Now ofc 14500 won’t be the number of installed thrust we’ll have in wt but I would expect somenthing close to it at least
The Su-27SM doesn’t use the standard AL-31, it uses the AL-31FM1.
Yeah I know, I was taking into account the numbers we have with the AL-31FP of the su30sm
Which is pretty much listed as 12500 almost on every engine booklet I saw
Technically, but WT Su-30SM has the “spooling mode” implemented where AL-31FP gets 5% thrust increase above mach 0.8
AL-31FP has a increased thrust mode that brings it up by a twinge, not sure if gaijin modeled it as on all the time or if certain conditions are met though.
What GitGood said basically.
i think they properly implemented speed requirenment, but they did not give it a time restriction because it is not limited by hardware but instead by manual.
Still, jump to AL-41F-1S would be substantial, even if Su-35S is 19tons of empty weight
Just imagine a world where Su-33 got it’s proposed AL-31FM-1s… Truly could’ve been a time to be alive.
Or it’s proposed radar… would be eating good
Yeah right, kinda forgot it went from 11600 to 12150-ish, I wonder what the value of installed thrust for the AL-41 will be on the statcard.
I mean the su30 engine mode did make a noticeable difference, so the Su35 with a 200kg weight increase should be looking good in performance.
