No they wouldn’t.

Do not forget that a submarine has to get to close range of a battleship from the other side of the map, avoiding detection by destroyers, subhunters, etc that spawned on the coastal side of the map and all that while going 10-15kph max

they just need to let subs lay on the ocean floor to dodge depth charges like real life

Well lets face facts, not much else to focus on is there, everything is copy and paste atm.

Subs are probably going to happen… garaunteed to end up in the battle pass to FORCE players to play (( NOT CHOICE!! )) if they want to complete it.! Just like the current one - Kill Helicopters… I mean Whaaaat at 4.0 BR? yeah seems fair.

That said, who knows could be a success or and empty graveyard like Naval!

And for the Laconia Order, no rescueing of survivors

There’s certainly a few ways for them to go about it. But I don’t think they’ll let the player’s vehicle be completely invisible, since it would defeat the purpose of skins, decorations, and cosmetics. I’m all for the spooky underwater noises, though.

I was a Warships maniac from world of warships, and their way of subs (although I didn’t play subs myself) are pretty decent.

That’s what looks like in World of Warships, so maybe we can remove the HP and add the damage model to make it Warthunder-ish?

We can re-make naval by have different lines for different ship classes–like the way there is the light tank line and the SPAA in Ground. We can have the submarine branch split from the destroyer or a sub-chaser line in maybe rank IV since Rank I-III does not have great ASW.

The picture I have shown is a great way since we can both see the skin of the sub and the environment. Pitch black is not a great idea, but if the add Naval Simulator Battles, then the pitch black may be more realistic, since most of the subs depended on sonar and other electronics to navigate around.

I never saw a helicopter at 4.0 though. Do you know what it is?

I think reorganizing the Naval tech trees into lines with specific roles is a great idea, though Gaijin has said they won’t add more than five lines to any tech tree. That makes it pretty difficult to have a line for every vessel class.

not if my suggestion for the USS nautilus gets accepted XD nuclear submarine using ww2 torps lol

Those noises would be awesome! I would turn off any battle music, so its just me, the crew and the boat. Then suddenly a sonar ping…

Also, I’m all for some kind of dark green atmosphere in the appropriate waters, and the Uboat just about visible and faint rays of sunlight breaking through the surface of the ocean…

Other waters may be more transparent I think, like more tropical coastal?

Also, until certain depths subs will probably be visible by planes above the surface

Thats a bit too much I think. Maybe something like Silent Hunter 3

nah listen to das boot

We can have a (1) a cruiser line (both light and heavy), (2) a battleship line (both battlecruisers and battleships) (3) a destroyer line (4) a submarine line (5) an auxiliary ship line (sub chasers, repair ships (?), corvetts. These are good for the Bluewater fleet, and their can be frigates and other PT boats in the coastal area. If we were to add Carriers then we can simply get rid of the auxilliary ship line or move it to coastal.

I think this is not as different as the picture I posted, except that it is from a different game. I wonder what you mean by too much?

The depth that most subs are visible is the periscope depth in which the sub can use the periscope (like binoculars in Ground) to look out without surfacing. A dark green atmosphere is not exactly what it is, since that is like a river, while oceans like the Atlantic where most WW2 subs operated have a dark blue hue. Also the details on the ocean bottom should get more details, maybe adding fish or coral reefs might be good. (results in a +10 GB in the game files :)
