actually on really cloudy days, the Atlantic does actually have a MILD green hue to it (IIRC I haven’t been to the beach in a really long time, but I do live on the east coast of the US)

They did that for the event perfectly.
Some interesting variety of ocean colours I would like to see for Subs:
North Sea:
North Atlantic:
Caribbean:
Pacific:
Indian Ocean:
The pics seem to be mostly in more shallow waters, around periscope depth, maybe some 20-30 meters more then that, deeper will probably be somewhat darker.
Most WW2 subs had a max diving depth before issues at around 150-175 meters, so the difference won’t be too much, just darker.
Also, in some areas, the Atlantic is a bit greener/greyer in hue than in the picture.

The underwater they had for subs was perfect for the north atlantic during storm season which is what was shown.
But for the tropics and such it would be nice to have variation.

If submarines are added into War Thunder you should be able to see sunken ships from other players. Not like Modern Warships Where ships don’t even sink to the ocean floor.

I like the concept. How about submarine getting damaged if they hit pieces of sinking ships?
So there is no helicopter at 4.0?
I just hope they bring a little more variety to naval especially with submarines. The event to guard the commercial ships would be a nice additional gamemode at lower brs. Maybe make it, that only subs can damage (or give points) them and then it would even work at higher brs with all ships on either side. But I have little hope for that considering gaijin still only has the capture gamemodes in ground.
