Su-47 Berkut

I also want something like the B1 or the B-52 in game

It will come eventually, i say give or take a year or 2 or at least till we get some current modern jet like SU-35 or F-22.

only thing i found saying the F-117 could carry A2A missiles was Wikipedia mentioning an “F-117N”

edit: nvm i changed my search and a bunch of websites are saying the F-117 could carry just about everything except the Aim-7 because the Nighthawk doesn’t have a radar

According to the retired F-117 driver and commercial airline pilot, no, the Nighthawk never actually had air-to-air combat as an operational mission. It wasn’t trained for by F-117 crews and the aircraft were not really configured for it in any meaningful way.

Yea no, read it further here:

well i guess a bunch of these sites have sketchy sources then

The X-29 or F-16SWF is an option

X-29 was built purely for testing purposes, the forward-swept wing F-16 was just a proposed concept that never materialized. imo it would be better if Gaijin stuck to vehicles that actually existed and would’ve had the capability to carry weapons unlike the X-29

Didn’t stop Gaijin from adding a Yak-141 configuration that never existed.

XVF-12A then?

I mean, yeah, but didn’t your guys in America just the the F-20, which was a prototype, and never serviced or fielded?

As far as I remember, a version was offered to the USAF with this configuration, but it was discarded, since the F-22 would perform its intended function.

The Su-37 would be realistic and could be added before the su-27m’s As it was a testbed for the su-27m

The critical difference is that the Yak-141 was intended to be a fighter. The X-29 was pure research and never had any intent of having weapons.

Except one was a prototype that didn’t even have it gun fitted before cancellation and the other is a fully built, tested and working plane which was cancelled due to no buyers
Kinda flawed comparison ngl

Not really, the F-20 flew, and had a planned armament, and was ready to be accepted, however the F-16 took its place, and never entered service. Just like the SU-47.

F-20 competed against a pretty watered down F-16A, it was designed for export and was built to be inferior, theres plenty of pictures showing multiple air frames carrying all the standard weapons of the time. I just think we got it way too soon as a premium but i really wanted it in the normal tech tree.

I don’t remember if the Su-47 had a planned armament since the program it competed in against with the Mig 1.44 was “repurposed” after the Su-47 won and the USSR fell.

i thought it couldnt carry any weapons?

from what I know the Berkut never did but I think at the very least it did have functional weapons bays in the fuselage. I’m sure if it did have weapons it would also have pylons under the wings

Su-47 Berkut, the sexiest fighter with her internal weapons bay open. Seggsy [1000x724] : r/WarplanePorn

It’s just a 3rd gen (or 4th for export) engine, ALR-69, and the fuel load is about the same apart from CFTs.

Better radar is an understatement, it has a direct AESA modernization.

It’s a 16C on a double dose of steroids, that’s why domestic 16V modernizations are considered ++s.
