Su-39: R77,R27,R73

Yeah, probably will be at some point. I think we’ll see them milking every possible variant before long. Some nations sooner than others, but eventually it will happen to all. Though with the event Su-25, I maybe see them sititng on Su-25s for a little while. 4 within the space of a few months, is good for no one. Especially as it wouldnt add anything new currently. Just a TT version of a premium

Su-39 and Su-25TM is just two names for same aircraft. Like Yak-41M and Yak-141.

Personally my epic gamer theory is that whenever they have a new update that expands the scope and BR of aircraft, they will also add all these possible additions too the Su-39 as buffs and raise it’s BR at the same time.
So potentially later when gajjin has more free BR space to move the Su-39 up, they will give it stuff like the R-27’s and Thermal pod.

If it wasnt a premium, I’d say yes, that is exactly what they would do. But being premium. I can see them handicapping the Su-39 to keep it at Rank 7, at least for a while/until there is a well established rank 9 and we see rank 8 premiums come onto the market, then it could actually move up without being, a little OP (economy wise)

sure. lets put you in one and send you off to fight an su-33.
you cant complain. youre in a multirole

Well that’s kinda what I mean. Once Air RB has expanded more and they have more breathing room to actually move the plane up without making it top tier, then it could receive buffs and still be a premium.

They are definitely gearing up for new additions to these aircraft for sure, but when we don’t exactly know, my bet is probably with the next major update, but they may also just sit in the files for awhile, time will tell.

The SU-25TM was a prior designation of the SU-39, one was for the Russian Airforce (SU-25TM) and one was for exports (SU-39). They could carry different types of armaments or pods and the main different is that the SU-25TM couldn’t carry BVR missiles (in theory it could).

Many sources get the SU-25TM and SU-39 mixed up, recommend people to actually rely on reliable sources

Funny enough I literally wouldn’t complain 😂, I always up tier my vehicles by purpose and manage to get aces (got a ace in my T-55AMD at 11.7).

GRB is different.
and if upteirs are no complain zone… dosent that make ur whole argument about the su39 obsolete?
besides, rejoice. gayjin finally gave you an event su25 with r73s

For better or for worse, I look forward to seeing the R-73 in game as it’s gonna be a taste of thaings to come, and at the very least will act as a early indicator of if the missle will be too much or not anytime soon.

I hope they watch it like a hawk and are very open with any and all changes and maybe even release performance stats

I’m kinda saddened that we often have to Datamined more advanced weapons to have a better understanding of them in game as the current in game statcards are often very lacking with useful information. A good example would be the difference between a TV lock in point mode vs track mode.

Su-39 has literaly the same fire control system SUV-25TM as Su-25TM.

Yeah, i think its GJ biggest failing. There was a change to base hp in sim, no patch note or anything. The change had to be data mined

Yeah they did but there were still technically different, think of it like the Israeli A-4E Early and Israeli A-4E.

Isn’t the controversy mainly around the Su-25TM’s ability to mount the radar pod that would give it the capability to fire Radar missles?

All I know is that when they were trying to export the Su-25TM as the Su-39 they showed it off at airshows with the radar pod and sometimes R-77’s and R-27’s

Too my understanding, despite how similar they are, there is no example of a regular Su-25TM that carried the kopyo radar pod

Su-39 is jsut export name of Su-25TM. They have same factory index T-8TM (cos they are literally one plane). Please stop thinking about Su-25TM and Su-39 as two different planes. Like Yak-41M when was tried to be sold in Farnborough was renamed to Yak-141, the same way Su-25TM was renamed to Su-39.

The bigger question though will be, will they be the same in WT? I could see them arming the Su-25TM with a more powerful loadout than the Su-39 and having it at higher BR.

11.7, as with any strong attacker with good self defence capability.
