afaik, the discussions had on the old forums regarding the AIM-120 were largely not around the topic of adding it immediately, but just discussing performance and sharing documentation so that one day when added it could be done properly and efficiently. Afaik its always the Russian players asking for the most obviously unbalanced additions. The only real consistent exception to this is players asking for the hellfire L’s with F&F, which I also disagree with for balance reasons.
I don’t ask for missiles that are very unbalanced, just one better than the r60m because with these missiles it’s even difficult to defend yourself against other vehicles that are superior to it
All missiles being suggested for the Su-39 ARE very unbalanced though.
Designed with the versatility to be used to hunt bandits is a shit reason and doesnt matter , the Puma IFV was design in mind with anti aircraft capability in the mean time its anti aircraft ammo the Ahead doesnt work is shit and doesnt automaticaly programm like it should. Some vehicles just get shafted life with it.
Sometimes russian players are asking for too much. Don’t make the Suchoi’s even stronger.

Dev can’t add R-73E, R-27R1 and R-27ER1 on Su-39 because limitations of rank 7 BR no higher than 11.3

@oom1992 Adding R27R1 missiles to the SU-39 would not improve its performance beyond that of the premium MIG-23.

because the MIG 23 has all that additional air to ground loadouts on top of it, it would raise its capability to strongly in grb matches
I agree that would lead him to have a good defense because he doesn’t have it with the r60m
it has IRCCM as passive defense, in grb that is more then enough
don’t make me laugh with your statement, because what good is having it because you can’t defend yourself using the r60m that alias you still only have 2 and rarely hits the target while the iam-9l, pithon3 and pl08 all hit the target
and not to mention that you will not only use it in tank battles but in airplane battles and using the r60 you basically do nothing and in fact the su-39 can operate this armament because it was made so much for air-to-air combat /air-earth
No it wouldn’t, that’s the point we’re trying to make is that while yes it is a very capable ground attacker, it is utterly terrible at even defending itself in air to air combat even tho IRL it had the tools too do so. Keep in minde it still has very poor flight performance when compaired to other jets at its BR and giving it something like two R-27’s would help level the playing field, not make it OP.
I think you forgot that even if it magically went to 11.7 it can still remain within rank 7, and a example of this is the Ka-50.

The IRCM doesn’t even work against missiles seen at 9.7 like the AIM-9G let alone 12.0 worthy IR missiles. The IRCM is more of a passive-passive thing which requires the input of both flares and IRCM in combination but alone the thing is utterly useless.
You choose a realy bad comparison, the Ka-50 was a mistake as a premium if anything else, it is a p2w vehicle that gets spammed like crazy because it is so strong.

Ok…It still proves the point that it’s possible so I’m not sure how your argument negates that. if the Su-39 were to receive a buff, first fi all it could probably stay right were it was at 11.3 since it’s already doing so terrible, second even if adding R-27’s did cause it’s performance to shoot up too high, it could just be moved too 11.7 and still remain a premium.
u didnt realy listen, the whole point is that premium currently shouldnt be 11.7, the possibility of this happening is the problem, it is not healthy for the game, and propably would screw up ARB even more, the Su 39 would basicaly never see a downtier anymore, 11,3 and 11,0 already is very rare to get downtiers, you would buy yourself completly to top tier and newbs will do it, you will destroy the whole ARB for those that have it on the team just like the su 25k is very bad for their teams and mostly leads to loses,
Like this it stays a Strike Aircraft for GRB and is healthy for the game!!!

It was an example of its BR not the vehicle itself, I wasn’t comparing them as a whole but how 11.0 vehicles can still remain 1 bracket lower than it actually should. Even if the SU-39 magically was 11.7 with the R-73E or R-27ER1 it could still remain at its tier.
