The Su-34 in ground RB, seems almost pointless?
Su-34 shares the same BR of 13.0 as the SU-30SM and Su-30M2. All three have the same x6 KH-38MTs, while the SU-30s have superior mobility, better radars and air to air missiles. It also no longer has a cheaper SP cost either. So there just doesn’t seem to be a reason to take it anymore.
Not to mention the Su-25SM3 sits at BR 12.7 with x4 Kh-38MTs, so you can use that with the T-90M and T-80BMV ect and not have to play at the BR 13.0 games. This way you also regularly get down teired into the BR 11.7 - 12.0 games because of all the premium tanks.
I think the Su-34 should go down in BR to 12.7 just like the Mirage 2000D-RMV is, even though it gets x7 AASM bombs. The Su-25SM3 can also go down to BR 12.0 as the aircraft flight performance is horrible. (But this post is about the Su-34). I think is would give players a reason to use the Su-34 again, which sadly doesn’t see much use anymore.

It’s a symptom of adding too advanced gen 4.5s too soon. Su-30SM2 fully invalidated this plane the same way the Rafale fully invalidates the Mirage 2K CAS platforms

But the Mirage 2000D-RMV still has a place, as it sits at BR 12.7 (Which is a pretty decent line up for France)
The Su-34 cant do this, as its BR 13.0
Remove KH-38MT and it can go down

This doesn’t do anything for the M2K as 12.7 is not a different matchmaker from 13.0 in the real world

With 6 Kh-38MTs on a supersonic, somewhat maneuverable airframe? Big no no on going down to 12.7.
The reason why the Su-25SM3 is 12.7 and not 13.0 is bc you get less Kh-38s on a subsonic, less maneuverable airframe. The Su-34 would blow it out of the water at 12.7. Im pretty sure the RMV is 12.7 is because you dont have a good radar, and you have to give up all offensive air to air armament for the most part to carry those Hammers, unlike the rafale and flanker series. Not to mention that the SM2, Rafale, EFT, etc have a much better FM than the Mirage 2000D RMV.
If you got rid of the Kh-38s then sure, it can be at 12.7, but until then it has to stay at 13.0 , regardless of if it is “pointless” or not in the face of the SM and SM2.
Also the Su-25SM3 at 12.0 in grb? Haha… no. It would be busted at that BR.

I think it would more accurate to remove the Kh-38s from the SU-30SM/2s as from what I have seen they are carried only by the S-34 and Su-25 while the Su-30s are limited to the Kh-29/59s.

Where you not just in another thread arguing with @Flanker_Thunder that the Su-39 should get R-77 no matter how bad it would be at the BR that would put it at because of realism?
The F-15E only gets 6 mavericks at 13.0? Which is the same as the A-10A
This means the F-15E should be a 10.7 CAS
I wont deny CAS compression is awful since, i wont deny the F-15E is miles worse than the shornet at CAS with SLAM-ERs, but this is russia.
While it and the SU30 both “only” have 6x KH38s, thats still 6x M1.0+ capable top down instakill ATGMs that guarantees a MINIMUM of 6 kills every spawn that can be launched from your own airfield and are extremely hard to shoot down
While NATO counterparts at the same BR have uhhhh… mavericks… maybe a brimstone
If anything needs to go down its NATO aircraft, the deathslinger is fine where it is, and killing it with a NASAMS is hard enough, i dont want to have the chance of fighting it with an ADATS
this is what happens when the community complains about strike aircraft having separate spawn cost, now they are completely useless. What a shocker.
Another case of somebody trying to blame the community for gaijin not knowing how to develop the game. Real simple solution is to appropriately place battle ratings AND not allow strike+fighters to both spawn as CAS for low SP

Actually Su-30SM should be 13.0 and Su-34 stay at 12.7.
Su25sm3 its already overperforming with supersonic missiles against saclos spaas and you want it to go even lower??!! (And so increasing the prob of these spaas facing this thing).
You cant just lower this op CAS wtf. Kh38s were the reason the game needed stronger spaas in the first place.
Also su34 has acces to a bigger glide bomb, great to clean enemy spawn from spaas.
it was only a problem because SPAA was much much weaker. Now it would be fine to have the older system back the way it was, even leaving the higher SP costs. But strike aircraft should have separate spawns again.
It’s a (was a) problem (Fighter+Strike spawning) at pretty much every BR in the game and isn’t exclusive to top tier. It isn’t anymore fair for a player to spawn their P-47 then die to spawn an A-36 or SB2C either

Good old A2D-1/ F-80 and F8F-1B/A-1H combos, hell practically every BR in the entire USA tree has fighter with all the bombs/ attacker or bomber with all the bombs combos

I’m not trolling, it’d be more historical than what it has currently, plus I think an Su-34 trapped at like 12.7-13.0 like it really should be would be incredibly funny.
