Ohhhhhh Su-37 mama mia the Terminator, they should come up with an instantaneous 720 degrees double role button. Now you are speaking my language.

I don’t think we’re flying the same plane, I’m used to the early su-27 radar and know how to deal with its short comings but it’s definitely not a great radar compared to others (except the ef2k, that radar is horrendous for a 14.0)

it wasn’t

Su-33 likely won’t receive the R-27EA or any Fox-3 of that matter, however the R-27EA is being considered and I can see it being put on current and future platforms since it’s technically a real weapon with it being tested on the MiG-29 in 85

every plane being able to fire an AIM 9 M is capable of fireing an AIM 9 X

On the testing note, I kinda would like an event version of the F14, resebling the version, that test fired the AIM 120 A’s

that is different for radar missiles tho

the 9x also lost some of its features when used in the compatability mode

If ya need any help setting up some basic binds for a pretty bare setup, feel free to PM me

Thanks for the help, whenever I am ready will send you a message. Just finished a Su33 run 3 kills and 12 missile evasions never had so many evasions eventually a Kfir got me with a python 3. I was maneuvering around a small mountain area, 4 planes on me.

Below is the screenshot of that game

R-27EA? Tested on the MiG-29 in 1985?

The R-27R wasn’t even commissioned at that point, let alone the R-27E existing in any capacity for the next 5 years.

Oh, yeah, MiG-29 also didn’t have a radar capable of using ARH missiles until 13 years later.

in the other recent similar case there is also no evidence the seeker was made

It was the R-27A to be precise, forgot to be more clear, sorry.

There is, there was a test firing of the r-27A on a mig-29

Guys forget about R-27s we should be discussing R-37M its a must. No one can deny its existence.

we should let them pick their poison
either r-37m or r-27EA

the pointy radome is not typical of an R-27EA but of an early R-27ER

I did hear about this too, hence why I’m skeptical about them aside from the mockup shown during 1997. The pointy seeker head is indeed not limited to it. The mockup that is known to be a EA also has a yellow-ish seeker head compared to the white ones found on other missiles that are allegedly “R-27EA”

Unless there are documents literally stating usage specifically for the 27EA, I wouldn’t really trust it

yes, the EA would have had a cream-ish radome like on the mock up where as the R-27ER’s is white and the R-27EP’s is a sort of odd orange-brown
