The R-27A was tested, yes, but there is still no R-27EA proof
Well we can surely continue the testing phase during air battles to improve upon flight performance.
Isnt this the image of R-27 Ea in military arsenal ?
Ahh yes looking at the seeker of the missile it is R27-R my bad, website mis informed me stated that it was EA but looking at the seeker it appears to be R-27 R
What photos do you want to compare them to? I’ve gone through this game with about half a dozen people, and without a baseline there’s simply “nuh uhs” thrown around between blatant denialism.
It had been shown dozens of times, twice in Paris and at 4 of the most attended MAKS expos (including a 21st century showing) on multiple different aircraft.
Even your image:
shows 109 with R-27EAs.
You can see the same aircraft with the same missiles, in which the extended range motor is very clear.
This is an R-27ER.
That’s a pair of R-27Rs.
Yes I figured that out by the seeker head website miss stated.
Su-35 #709 with R-27EA
Su-33 #109 with R-27EA (It can't operate operate with the missile, sadly)
(I ain’t payin royalties for this^)

Comparison of Su-34 #48 with R-27ER, if you want a baseline:
It’s a EA. Pretty sure the ER seeker is different and doesn’t have that seeker inside
Now there needs to be proof of an actually produced one, as I highly doubt thats a real one, and proof of testing of the specific variant is also not available, at least as of now. Most images so far are either colored in mockup colors or are just mockups. Or so I assume they are, as I’m pretty sure active missiles are not allowed in exhibitions
Ah, thought I had linked another image. That is an 1103 inside. Good clarification.
None were “actually produced”, the program itself never received contract.
There are no “mockup colored” R-27EAs, all of them either brandish basic service paint or high visibility demonstrator paint. I’m yet to see a de-armed R-27EA.
Active missiles are most definitely allowed in exhibitions and expos. Explosive ordnance, on the other hand…
Hmm russian missile with only seeker being made but not fitted? Where did i only hear that before in regards to warthunder.
the seeker was made and test fired on a mig-29
it was not fitted to the R-27e as far as we know
Oh im not denying that.
Im just making a joke about 38MT.
There was no MiG-29 capable of fielding any 1103 variation at the time. The first variant capable of using any ARH missile came almost 5 years after live firing concluded for the 27EA.
You can see images of 27EAs here in the thread…
Why does the Su 33 play better than the Su 30sm, I feel like the Su30 cannot maintain level altitude at low flights it always points up and passes the threshold exposing you to several missiles at the same time?
I constantly have to correct it, what is the best way of flying the SM?
Weight, better engines.
The Su-33 does the same, issue is that the Su-30SM struggles to get beyond lower speeds.
ASB, or don’t play it.
ASB as in air simulator battles?
Yeah. Far less congested fights and it’s far easier to maintain energy with fine control.
I guess my mouse pad and laptop wont cut it. Ya I was wondering why I struggled to maintain level flight, in this case they should give us the option to remove thrust vectoring since I notice vectors moving all the time, or give the SU 30sm a better engine.
Why’s that?
Su-37 when
Ohhhhhh Su-37 mama mia the Terminator, they should come up with an instantaneous 720 degrees double role button. Now you are speaking my language.
As for sim I will need to learn and set my laptop up never played it.
I don’t think we’re flying the same plane, I’m used to the early su-27 radar and know how to deal with its short comings but it’s definitely not a great radar compared to others (except the ef2k, that radar is horrendous for a 14.0)
