SU-33 Balance Discussion: BR Adjustment and R-77 Missiles

No prototype of the Su-33 was ever implemented with the radar needed for ARHs, and the radar upgrade itself was never followed through with after the demise of R-27EM plans.

No R-27EA was ever used with an Su-33, only the Su-35. The radar was not at ALL capable of ARH integration, being unable to carry either the K77 or the R-27EA.

They aren’t. They’re carrying R-27[E]Rs with protective caps.

You can see the exact same protective cap in the background.

If you want an ACTUAL R-27EA, this is what they look like.

No they are not.

No missile noses are painted red. Point blank period.

R-27EAs have never seen service, and weren’t used beyond a handful of firing tests… As said multiple times in this thread.

So you’re manufacturing a false reason for a picture that you don’t understand?

Su 33 had its first maiden flight in 87, jf17 had its first flight in 2003 and its introduction in 200, the jf17, was born in the fox3 era, it is a 4/4++ plane, which will have more variation, like the block III.

There is the SU33, a Soviet plane from the end of the Cold War that took over before the Fox3 era. They are completely different planes. One having a certain type of weapon does not justify the other having one. If I were to apply your logic to all squadron vehicles, other nations should have stealth aircraft because the USA already has one.

You are not concerned about game balance, pls bro… You just want absurd changes to a plane that you spent money on and regret buying.

Instead of being satisfied with the purchase and enjoying the plane, you feel frustrated because it didn’t meet your expectations, but giving it AHR won’t make it better and justify your purchase, quite the opposite, it will make it go up in BR and face 13.7/14.0 planes much more frequently.

Are these R-27EAs in the room with us right now?

Surely they would be very common in pictures if so… Oh wait

Just make it 13.0 across the board and problem solved.

How do you know certainly those are r27ea (although, I must admit, they certainly do lack the distinct nose shape of the er and instead of a very pointy / cone like tip

I never understood why somebody spend money for squadron vehicles which can be easily for free.

Here’s the static displays of Blue 109 from MAKS-95/97 respectively, after the missile program had been cut. The same was done with the Su-32.

There are

13.0 with 6 R-77, 2 R-27ER/ET, and 4 R-73? Bro.

Where did I ever say anything about R-77s??

Don’t put your words in my mouth.

Do you not understand English?? You replied to my comment talking about the SU-33 with R-77s.

Do you not understand English?

I said simply make it 13.0, don’t add anything to it. I never insinuated that it needed r-77s, you put that in your own mind.

Jesus fucking Christ, first off I don’t regret buying anything in war thunder and I never will, secondly Literally have a Russian Made Aviation book that Clearly states that the R-27EA’s were used and fitted on the Mig-29SMT, Mig-35, Su-27SM2, Su-33, Su-30SM, Su-30M2, Su-34, and Su-35. I mean Jesus and no I’m not going to post a picture rn because I’m not at home. Finally there was quite literally a Prototype for the su-33 that had upgrades to make it fox three capable and I don’t know if you realized but the protective cones on the missiles have different sized points. give it R-27EA’s like 2 or 4 of them and put it at 13.3 or 13.7 it already gets up tier-ed anyways. So fuck off your trying way to hard to make your sgruement when you yourself don’t even have fully correct info. Yes I may have not known some info but I’m correct about the capability’s of the Su-33 like how it’s thrust to weight ratio empty is 1.36 to 1 or .86 to 1 max weight. We could both go learn some more and then come back to argue again or have you had enough

“your trying way to hard to make your sgruement when you yourself don’t even have fully correct info.” incredible levels of irony

I’m not even trying bro that took me less than a minute I’m just speaking my thoughts

Ahh yes. Let’s add the Russian Paper missile into the game that supposedly has Mach 6 speed and 30km more range than the Aim-120D at 13.7… Get a grip bro.

Maybe if they model the abysmal 9% hit rate it’s be balanced at 14.3.

Lol R-27ea was put in service lol
I would like to see the prove

I mean, with how bad R-77s or R-27s are compared to Aim-120 spam… it’s really not that far cry of an okay idea.
