Su-27SM: Ferocious Flanker!

Surely you know better than me how the USSR pilots trained, then ? I can compare it with how they trained in the US, if you write.

Seems to suggest no need for oxidiser, merely a booster to get into supersonic.

It also contains this.

Now personally I’m not sure exactly how you get enough oxygen to do sufficient combustion, or if this is applicable to the weight class of Meteor, but it otherwise seems sound that Meteor works fine at higher altitudes despite a lack of internal oxidiser, or perhaps the fuel includes oxidiser.
Perhaps the schematics omit an oxidiser tank anyway, we don’t know.

They don’t get paid billions of dollars for nothing.

They exist to commit epistemic violence & injustice, it’s literally their job. There is now low that won’t be stooped to, no act too immoral or depraved.

Spreading lies about a hated blood-enemy is certainly within their purview.

What you write is your business and there may be something to it, But they ( US propaganda spy)certainly have a better place to work than smearing the training of Soviet pilots in the 1980s…on a Russian forum where Russian pilots and aircraft operators from those days post. Plus, they’d be exposed immediately.

You got a mistake there? I see 23 seconds on the F-15 graph, not 26.

F-15 ( i think this is for PW-220) acceleration 0,44-1,0M - 23 sec.
MiG 29 19.48+39/2 - 29,24 sec

6,24 sec. diference, but its only for funn.

That’s not going to be an issue at some point in the future.

They already work in those places. This is the icing on top.

Work tirelessly on all levels, some levels will influence each other, it gets easier and easier.

You severely underestimate the breadth and extent of such activities.

If you recall the “testimony” of Belenko? Scabrous fairytales and defamation to his dying breath. People swallowed it up. Didn’t matter that it was obviously untrue to anyone with critical faculties.

This forum itself, even. A testimony that “Western aligned lies” trump truth to the contrary.

I think it’s naive to believe truth prevails, especially on Internet forums. Exactly how does this “marketplace of ideas” platitude work?

How will you tell the truth sayers from agents?

There is no schedule for the 3000m for the MiG-29

Yeah but…I would say those planes are really close, which is great for the F-15 that even though it’s bigger it can be competitive with a rocket like the MiG 29

Yes, but, it’s not just forums - books - Russian, memoirs of Czechoslovak pilots and Polish, recently Bulgarian. That’s not propaganda.

You haven’t understood anything I’ve said if you believe that.

Doesnt exactly change the fact that it HAS been an issue to this point. Theres also the question of how well these might cope with being possible to target with R-37M’s now, who’s primary role is AWACS killing, and the fact ukraine does not have any experience with AWACS yet.

Not a lot of weight.Large wing area.Powerful engines. He’s not the best, but he’s not the worst either.Confidently a good plane

In acceleration above 1M the F-15 will be better than the MiG 29, the PW-220 engines were slightly worse up to 1M than the original PW-100, but above that speed the performance is dramatically different.

For me there is no best, airplanes are one big compromise. What’s best for you?

Maybe, but reality is verified from multiple sides, and if they say very similar things then it can be quite believable.

I wonder what you think happened with Belenko?

The one that hasn’t been built yet

Perhaps the schedule for the MiG-29 is not so unusual.Somehow I like the manuals on American aircraft.Sometimes there are good graphs drawn there

They’re excellent. I don’t know any better.
The Su 27 is slightly weaker in acceleration than the MiG 29 ? Flanker B?

Not much

No. That would be ridiculous for me to complain about- mainly because we have the Phoenix and for the longest while the Aim-7E dominated the sky. I’m simply talking about A2G where we have yet to have the true upper hand in Long Range Guided Munitions.

You have no idea how few people remember that.

Kh-29T/E and X-38 have only recently been mounted on planes with decent thermals and optics, still lots of maverick slingers packing 6 or so.

I’m sure you guys will get some silly stuff, I heard something about AGM-123K for A-6E in one of the BR devblogs.
