While hard I fly the Flanker regardless.
It is my favorite aircraft series aside from the Raptor and Lightning II.
While gimped I have SO much fun in it and kills feel THAT much more rewarding because fighting a Gripen or really any western jet for that matter will either be a quick asswhopping for me or a very interesting dogfight with a swift and incredible lucky shot eliminating said western jet! ;D

Whare are you expecting?? F-22, F-35?? Su-27 went in service in 1985 so it is 80s platform and is arguably worse than the F-15C MSIP 2 which was rolled out the same year. Tell me what newer platforms you are looking out to get in the next patch.

Which iircm are you talking about? Aim-9M has historical iircm while Magic-2 is still not accurate.
As far as i know R-73 is pretty close what it should be, at least current version.

Best possible time to fix it would be this update, but I do understand your stance regarding it being unlikely as well.
I hadn’t thought about that aspect actually (the 6 ARH vs 8 ARH specifically), thanks for pointing that out. The better mixed loads of the 27SM and larger missile count does allow it to have a larger impact per sortie on average imo.

The soviet FM’s fly fantastic in sim. They suffer a bit in the rate but heavily make up for it in the 1 circle. Particularly the Su-27 that points its nose like literal magic. The 9M is only a free kill against bad players or players that literally dont know you are firing on them. Pre-flaring the 9M’s WEZ and you’re off scott free.

Its gonna become even more prevalent with newer missiles, since western nations pushed hard into it, while Russia does not appear to have done so.
Unless gaijin pulls an AIM-54C and kneecaps the AMRAAM and the MICA (and any other new western missiles coming with low smoke motors, those are the only 2 i know for sure)

People keep forgetting that Su-27 is a quite heavy bird, they watch some Airshow footages and thinks Sukhoi family can beat any plane in 1vs1 but truth is there so many other jets that can dump Su-27 in 1vs1 easily.
The IRCCM is super simple, and therefore a double edged sword. Pushahead is fantastically reliable due to its simplicity, but it also makes it incredibly reliable to flare if you flare properly.
