Remember that other fighters such as F-16 achieves Better range thanks to CFT and additional drop tanks, while its true that initial Mig-29’s engines was quite thirsty but situation changed with new engines.
With only internal and drop tanks i’d say 9.15 achieved quite a good range.
Which is them same as comparison between Su-27 with Mig-29 9-12 although i will doubt the flight performance.
That’s the bs he made, blatanly false comparison.
We dont know how Gaijin did modelled Pl-12 and AAM-4 missiles, if they modelled as realistic as they can then other nations need Aim-120C5 at least.
Most likely both missiles will be limited for the sake of balance.
F-15A kinda suck in A2G.
Later version or Israli version is more suitable for that role.
If everything is miraculously modeled correctly this is my list: Predictions for Upcoming Fox-3s (AIM-120C)
My current question is where is the R-Darter going because I don’t believe the JAS-39C or JAS-39D for SA every carried Fox-3 Missiles
SA Cheetahs carried the R-Darter that will be the stretch.
You just answered your own question.
British JAS39C will recieve R-Darter, it was approved to be used on Gripen but did got revomed from service by the time Gripen’s arrived.
So on paper it used them, but never in practice?
Cheetahs not coming anytime soon i believe.
I feel like the J-10 would be so perfect to add right now. I mean the missiles are coming and the radar is already modeled in game.
Exactly, on paper it was approved to use R-Darter but never receieved.
Quite stretch i know but that is how Gaijin works.
Worst part is that SAAF Gripen’s will not be able to equip BOL pods with R-Darter while Swedish Gripen’s can do with Amraams.
British Gripen’s will be inferior to Swedish Gripen’s in both survivability and BVR category.
Also, its kind of funny seeing how people are reacting to the Su-27SM being from 2004 and the F-15J MSIP that Japan is gonna get (with essentially AIM-120Cs) is from 2017

Thing is Su-27 will have better loadout for both Air and Ground Rb due to amount of ordinance it can carry, we also dont know how Gaijin did modelled AAM-4 missiles, they could be par on Aim-120B models for the sake of balance.
I mean it will be a better BVR aircraft with 8 AAM-4s and an AN/APG-63(V)1
And it will be able to launch and guide 6 AAM-4s at once with TWS while the SU-27SM can only guide 4 R-77s
Meanwhile it will have no Ir missiles for CQC because it can only carry 8 missiles of total.
If Gaijin doesnt chance the multipath then Ir missiles will be still revelant.
