Only things i really know that the su17/22 could get would be r73 and kh29te, but idk how much either would help them considering it’ll probably come with a br change.

Proving both that it existed in some form and was compatible with the Su-17’s, being an incredibly obscure missile idea that appeared a long time after the Su-17M4.
And no, assuming based on being able to use Kh-25MLs and Kh-29T’s doesn’t count.
This really help Germany in CAS and will serve as a good alternative to Su-25BM for Soviets.

We don’t know what they had. If the Kh-25MT existed and was tested, its highly unlikely to have been on the SU-17’s or MiG-27’s, more likely the Su-25T/39 which was listed on the report.
We have no idea what was passed on to the devs as a suggestion, but I doubt it was the Su-17M4/22M4.
