Edit: I circled back to this one while doing another suggestion when I realised the vehicle is actually not a C variant; it is actual a A variant. We can tell that it is an A variant because it has the housing for the damping cylinder still on the front of the turret behind the AAC

Introduction:
Hello and welcome to my 4th suggestion!
It is quite well known that the CV90120-T was fitted with IBDs AMAP-ADS (dubbed Active Armour Concept in Sweden, AAC for short). That version of the CV90120-T has already been suggested, but the Strf 9040A was also tested with AAC. The AMAP-ADS was still in development at this point, but it was promising enough to be tested, but ultimately never adopted.

History:
The Strf 90 stems back to the 1980s, when the Swedish army wanted a dedicated IFV. At the time, the army did not have any real IFV; there were APCs armed with different autocannons, but that would not cut it anymore. What was needed as a combat vehicle that was to be able to carry a set of troops but also defend itself from heavier vehicles like tanks. Thus, the Strf 90 was born. The Strf 90 would be upgraded several times before reaching the C standard, which was one of the larger overhauls of the vehicle.

In 2002, 50 Strf 9040 would be upgraded to the C standard. This was done because these vehicles would be used internationally and thus needed more protection. For the earlier versions of the CV90, the export variants, AMAP-B has gotten the job done, but now something better is needed. This resulted in AMAP-SC being chosen for the Strf 9040C. Another batch of the Strf 9040C would be produced in 2005, becoming the C+ variant, giving it a CAN-bus system and LIRK.

But already in 2002, work was being done on AMAP-ADS as FMV was working closely with Åkers Krutbruk Protection, part of IBD. The project was greenlit as a demonstrator in 2003, and by 2007, both software and hardware were ready to be used on a demonstrator. But up-armoring the Strf 9040 can be traced back even further to 1996, when ERA was even on the table. It was most likely Blazer ERA, as a chassis was sent to Israel for protection trials with ERA.

Since the Strf 9040 is set to serve with the Swedish army until 2035, it was deemed necessary to develop a new armor package better than AMAP-SC. It was decided around 2007 to trial it on the CV90120-T and on the Strf 9040A for domestic usage. The CV90120-T fitted with AAC would be shown at the MSPO 2007 for the export market, while the Strf 9040 demonstrator would be largely unknown until Rickard O. Lindström posted images of it on his blog Ointres.se. There is not much known about it except for some info about it on a slide from a slideshow made by O. Lindström.

From the slide we have from the slideshow, it seems like the AAC was promising, with it mentioning that it is effective both against KE and CE ammunition, less collateral damage with the system than without it, as well as the cost being around the same as conventional armor kits. So why was this not chosen? We sadly do not really know. It could just be that the system was still in the prototype stage, and it was deemed by FMV that it was just too big of a gamble. There would be another prototype made in 2012 that did not feature the AAC but another armor kit made by IBD, but that would not be chosen. Ultimately, all of the 50 Strf 9040C+s were sent to Ukraine in 2023, so it seems like the AAC-equipped Strf 9040C+ was converted back to the AMAP-SC kit some time between 2010 and 2023. It is also totally possible that this was tested in conjunction with the SEP 8x8, as the SEP program aimed to be the next backbone vehicle of the Swedish army, as it was supposed to be modular.

Armor:
By and large, the armor of the Strf 9040A AAC should be the same as for the Strf 9040A currently in-game; the difference would be that this has the capabilities of other vehicles in-game with AMAP-ADS (today known as StrikeShield) to defeat incoming projectiles.

The chassis has APS modules all around itself, but the turret lacks them on the right side and has sensors on the left side.

Armaments
As per usual Strf 9040 standard, even this one comes with the 40 mm Bofors L/70 automatic cannon, but it loses the roof-mounted machine gun and does not retain the otherwise cheek-mounted machine gun like the other Strf 9040 models.

But that is not the only thing it loses; it also lacks the smoke grenades that can be found on the Strf 9040.

The mobility would be largely the same; the mass of it does increase by around 500kg compared to the Strf 9040A, so that would affect it a bit, but probably not noticeably.
