Cause while mobility of Strf 9040C is a bit worse, [and the percentile round difference between Strf 9040C and 2S38 is the same as between 2S38 and HSTVL] both have players that aim for weakspots rather equally.

Because we have this almost same exact thread almost every week, and this one is the most lazy I’ve ever seen with just bloated stats that dont matter theres no substance to even respond to. He might as well of just said “Title” and it would have been better this than this. Not to mention one of the deleted posts pointed out he hasn’t even played either of them.

If its a perceived problem posted from different players, where’s the problem?
I have to remind you that forums are made to debate, not to increase your own confirmation bias on how things perform ingame.

armor, altough the difference its minimal really cuz even with the angle ur gonna get penetrated by 30 mm apfsds just like the 2S38, technically more survivable than the 2S38 but really, its not expected to survive more than 30 mm apds just like the 2S38 isnt expected to survive more than 30 mm apds

I just checked, guy have 800+ battles in 2S38 and 0 In any Sweden vehicle, you should change your attitude in this thread as your voice is clearly in favour to one side.
Because the stats are awful, werent we trying to find someone with over 2kd in it last thread and couldnt even find anyone?
I dont even have 1kd in it because I bought it when I was awful thinking it was OP and just got slammed every match.

Mobility, gun depression, survivability. Its one of the easiest light tanks to kill or disable after modules update, all the crew is upfront. Giving it even nato levels of gun depression would be grounds for moving it to 11.0 imo.
Its not awful, Its very strong. But there is a reason its at 10.3 and not 11.0+ like people want. If it had depression and mobility sure.
Bad/new players are going to be taking tanks headon like I did and just dying horribly. People hate it because its annoying to die to since those very same bad players turn your death into one by a thousand cuts where you just have to sit and watch for 5 seconds as you cant do anything instead of just dying instantly.
And again surely someone here has a 2+ kd in it and can tell us why it should be moved up. If its such an OP monster there should be plenty of people with stats to back it up.

mobility, its on par with BMP3. and its still faster than MBT’s, ofc its still slower than competitor light tanks like PUMA wich compensate with high HP per ton, gun depression that dosent need much explanation its an disadvantage, yes its one of the easiest ones to kill its still a light tank at least it wont get 50 cal’d frontally
- Versatility: The 2S38 is highly versatile, capable of engaging various targets with proximity-fuzed shells and APFSDS, and can fire continuously without reloading.
- Mobility: While not exceptional for a light tank, its mobility still outperforms most MBTs, fitting its aggressive flanking playstyle.
- Armor: Armor is poor, as expected for a light tank, but the pontoons funny enough provide limited protection enough to stop .50 cal rounds from the side at over 200m on a flat angle.
- Survivability: Its crewless turret improves survivability; even if hit, it’s not a guaranteed kill unless ammo behind the sight is targeted. It’s slightly less armored than the CV9040, but both are vulnerable to the same threats, making barely any difference.
those are my points regarding the 2S38, reallistically speaking the 2S38 depends on playerskill at the end of the day, but the 2S38 overperforms it main competitors at 10.3 under the excuse that the competitors have more armor wich is not enough to make a real difference, except for a few like PUMA wich do have much better armor to make some difference altough rn its still missing most of the armor

Not saying the 2s38 its op but the issues that are normally described are pretty normal for stuff for light tanks aka, lack of armor the only exception being PUMA since its a pretty unique light tank/ ifv, i do believe the 2S38 should be at least 10.7 and only 11.0 max since it really dosent deserve higher br’s
Been playing the 11.0 puma recently and some of the stuff i survive is insane. Shame the gun kinda sucks, if it had better rof I think it would be solid. And also it needs its bugs fixed badly, reparing turret breaks loading completely and getting ammo racked makes you lose both your tracks.

yeah ofc the thing will survive most stuff that normally light tanks wouldnt survive but my current issue rn with the PUMA is that crewless turret its useless atm cuz of the ammorack bug

My stance on the Strf 9040C should be 10.0 is well known.
