I can. Im built different.
Do you know if Gaijin has any plans to do Subtypes of missiles? Such as AIM-9M-9 or AIM-120C-7? Or are they just going to be a base model?
Once again a missile that only ever went past mock up stage in 1991 cannot be used by a prototype whose development terminated in 1988
Yes that’s why mockup for m4k was stated and specified
Yall are all arguing about your stupid missiles when the only new missiles this game needs are ruhrstal x-4s and malkara atgms.
We already have the AIM-9P-4 so I don’t see why not
If you want to be flying around with dead weight mock ups that’s on you. I would prefer missiles that can get off the rails.
With the new reload boxes, actually viable too xD
Probably what the brits call the experience of trying to fight alongside the frenchies in 1940 :3
I mean the Yak-141 was cancelled in 91 but was still planned to be capable of carrying the R-77 which didn’t enter service till 94, look I’m not saying I think they will or should add the MICA to the M4K, just that if they wanted too there’s no real reason they couldn’t. And besides, none of this has anything to do with the R-27EA which again, is something Gaijin could add if they feel the R-77 isn’t good enough but the R-77M is too good
The night of June 7th-8th, 1940, Berlin.
We already know there are various types of missiles planned. The AIM-120C-5 and R-77-1 have been in the files since Fox-3s got added.
The YAK-141 doesn’t have the R-77 in game for said reason. If they added MICAs to the M4K they would have to add R-77s to the YAK-141, that’s how these things work.
The very real reason they couldn’t is because it was literally impossible.
The R-27EA falls under under a similar but different category of things that were built in pieces but didn’t actually exist, if they were to add the R-27EA that opens a whole floodgate of late war vehicles that could be added.
Also if the R-77 isn’t good enough add the R-77-1, these things aren’t hard to figure out dude.
I mean, I can think of a bunch of vehicles that fit that description that are already in the game
Why not TT?
That thing would incentives people to play France, especially at the lower tiers.
Which were added at a time when rules were different and were already removed/are awaiting removal
So it was revealed that the event Israeli vehicle was not Kfir 2000, Kfir C.10 or C.12, but the last Kfir that has AESA.
We have seen Gaijin testing new equipment with event vehicles before but still IDK why they skip Kfirs so fast.
For example people were expecting C.10 for the update they copy pasted a Block 40
Nah the Yak-141 is where it is because there was no need to move it up in BR, it fills a nice spot where the SMT used to be before it got R-77s
And Gaijin have added plenty of vehicles that never existed before and were only parts, or not even parts, there is plenty for them to add the R-27EA if they wanted to
and literally my whole point was that missile may be deemed too good to add at the moment or not good enough depending on how big an upgrade it was over the base variant.
That doesn’t mean we should get the R-27EA though. The R-27EA was explicitly dropped in favor of the R-77.
As previously stated, the R-77-1 can come if necessary. And to be honest we should expect the AIM-120C-5 to come if the R-77-1 is added anyways.
The 120C-5 would get ~10-20% more range than the 120A/B, and it would likely get slightly less fin AOA and drag due to the smaller fins.
The R-77-1 would be on par with the 120A/B in terms of range, but it would retain the great maneuverability of the base R-77.
These would be balanced in my opinion. The 120C-5 giving up maneuverability for slightly more range, while the R-77-1 gaining 120A/B levels of range but keeping the maneuverability.
