My thing is I haven’t found any official sources that state any radar upgrades outside of software based upgrades. As the AN/APG-85 isnt even incoperated yet (2025) so we could see the F-22 MLU lead to an actual radar overhaul if the NGAD continues to be delayed.
and the developments from that would probably be used in NGAD radar to make it better

I agree, especially when the J-10A already is doing meme things like hovering by pointing the nose straight up in a low speed dogfight

There is a lot more than just power and bigger antenna that makes the AN/APG-81 better at AtG one of them is that it specifically has more T/R groups than the AN/APG-71(V)1 even though it has a small size overall. Along side this the AN/APG-81 is just part of the F-35s sensors (but 90% wont be modeled in game.)
The more I read up on the late 4th gens, the more I think we’ll probably see Su-30SM2 and Su-35S come out as the multi-role that can be a fighter and fighter that can be a multi-role additions probably alongside a mega patch of F-35’s considering some have better payloads afaik for CAS, and other’s are more of an air-superiority version, while some can VTOL and some cannot.
F-22 and Su-57 are coming in the same patch best I can tell at this point.

I know there is nothing official, but the timing seems a little coincidental if they aren’t upgrading the radar as well. Modern radars are designed to be relatively easy to upgrade so it’s definitely a possibility and we know there are design parallels between the 77 and 81, so it stands to reason that the 85 will share a lot of the same architecture.
Oh yeah the NGAD being delayed is going to make it an even better 6th gen its gonna be crazy. Sadly I cant give any insite into the NGAD program because outside of delays the DoDs lips are welded shut

wait it has more T/R module? thought F-22 had about 2k and f-35 had around 1.6k
That would make the most sense, despite the SU-57 being 20 years newer its capabilities seem equal or less than the F-22, tbh all stealth should come at the same time IMO, F-35, SU-57, J-20, and F-22
I have to say this comment is specific to the Su-30SM alone. Su-35S and Su-30SM2 are going to have much better TVC performance than with the AL-41FS’s versus the AL-31-FP’s. Would be kind of fun to get the AL-31FU’s (better thrust than the FP’s) in an Su-37 as a Squadron vehicle, imo.

Yeah but the F-22 upgrade was due to the delay of the NGAD and the F-35 is just getting upgrades that have been in devopment for years.

current F-22 is probably better than both Su-57 and J-20, but since its 20 years older its more reasonable 1st stealth fighter.
no HMS, aim9m, 120C, little to no a2g
F-35: very advanced HMS, aim9x, 120D, insanely advanced a2g
J-20: some crazy long range awacs killer, maybe HMS, whatever chinese 9x counterpart,
Su-57: R-74, R-77M, R-37M, probably HMS
actually first stealth fighter should be YF-22 and YF-23

One last comment a big issue with Chinese stealth is that it is based off the F-117 they stole (the one shot down in Serbia) which isn’t even used on the F-22 or F-35

You do realize that weapons are separate from airframe, if you use the rule of earlier aircraft should come first then China gets left in the mud because the F-22 is older than the J-10, never mind the J-20.
Aircraft get added based on capability and by your own words the F-22 is better than everything but the F-35 therefore it should be added after everything but the F-35

initial production F-22 ahead of everything else at time, but compared to Su-57 and J-20 now, it isnt as impressive.
as i said it would have the aforementioned weapons, all of which are in game except for 120C, which i expect this summer or before
there are 3 more additions to game before we know F-22 is technically possible
