To be fair, Russia.& China were only really the capable nations other than US to develop a stealth fighter
i didnt make fun of anyone, but i do find it funny that none can make a proper 5th gen
they dont even have the interest to fight US, but they will never be able to be better because the US budged is 3 times higher at least

Many countries are currently working on 6th gen though, there was a period after the fall of the Soviet Union where most countries cut military funding as the cold war was effectively over, so 5th gen funding was either cut or never given in the first place, Russia had to end a lot of projects after its collapse, and China has been playing catch up since the 50s, the lack of 5th gen fighters isn’t from lack of capability, it’s from lack of want.

Development requires money and defense money was pretty tight after the cold war ended, it’s no coincidence that the 3 biggest military spenders are the 3 countries with domestic 5th gens, after that you have countries making joint programs like FCAS and GCAP which if you combine the countries behind those programs would have the 3rd and 4th highest defense budgets ahead of Russia but behind China and the US.
The fact is the evidence shows if you can make up about $150 billion in defense spending, you can afford to make a top-of-the-line fighter aircraft, That’s the US, China, FCAS and GCAP.
The US doesn’t have innate manufacturing prowess, it has money, and if you have money you can do what you like, the only limiting factor in the past 30 years is that the money hasn’t been there in Europe or Russia

US air taking a seat for 1 update would actually be great, because maybe that means Gaijin could finally add the SEPv3 as a somewhat proper 2A7/122 counterpart.

F22 raptor manufacturing is classified and also highly advanced and unique, the way they make the fuselage and the whole structure is insanely expensive and no one else can achieve their manufacturing, both in reliability but even just the way they make everything, same goes for f35
