Storm Warning - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion (Part 2)

Looks the same to me if you look close, the lighting favors the “production” model

still looks bad, they just somewhat covered the spaces in there while f22 prototype didnt look like this

It looks like the glass used in the new one is not coated?

It does, even the production one does, it is just that the paint is a lot darker, it still exists if u look close, subjectively a lot less obvious to human eye as a result of lower contrast, same goes for J20 where it looks a lot more rough when in yellow test kit.

T-50-7 is a non-flying example for static tests i believe

Can’t believe I just caught up on 500+ comments of F22/5th Gen cope, expecting interesting info about the update lmao

Unfortunately, since they added the Thai air sub-tree I think that’s it for Japan air this update. Looking at the past 2 sub-tree additions (Benelux + Hungary air) that’s all that respective nation (France + Italy) got for air that update.

Obviously Gaijin can change their own precedent so there’s still a chance but it would be unlikely that a minor nation like Japan gets a full air sub-tree (even if mostly copy and paste) and their own iconic captsone aircraft in the same update.

F-2 is probably coming early next year maybe even with AAM-5 just so it remains competitive with the other Gen 4.5s.

I mightve been mistaken, but yeah, the one at zhuhai was T-50-4. TFW Sergei flying the thing impressed customers so much that the first deal for Su-57E was signed in China.

Thats wrong. They’ve been on serial production for quite some time now and are currently switching from Su-57S to Su-57M model. Serial models have RAM coating and covered/painted engines btw. Panel gaps are also practically removed.

The cope is just unreal

Okay, but cope about what lmao

Added an incomplete list of possible additions

9750kg is only quoted for the J-10C, and even then it is probably not accurate.
J-10C later batches will get WS-10B which will balance out the weight.

Not a single bomber smh

looks at literally any other nation in the world

Yes but Gaijing might just decide they are the same, as well as no clear sources on J10B engine or radar.

yeah so

A-5 sort of a bomber, but I’m assuming no dedicated bombers

I somewhat trust Gaijin actually, but not on everything.
There were many sources stating J-10A empty weight is 9750kg, but they found the accurate 8800kg figure.

So you are making fun of Russia for something that’s not exclusive to Russia. Crazy

Yeah, fair, the A-5 is very bomber-ish, but I was thinking about dedicated bombers as you’ve said. Stuff like the B-45 Tornado and YB-49

Can add them if you’d like

Will take a bit though
