I don’t know enough about MICA IR, but the logic applied to IRIS-T would certainly apply to ASRAAM. Both of these missiles are equally nuts.
Python-4 is step beneath ASRAAM / IRIS-T. Python-5 is the counterpart to those.

Might be the case soon if they keep trying to destroy their government from within
Yea I just mean like how F-15 was leaked last year but we knew it’d come for US/Israel/Japan.
Ironically now we have multiple Typhoons leaked as opposed to a generic one and having to guess who is getting one this update
Simply untrue, not every fight is based on energy traps or 2 circle fights.
If you’re getting energy trapped by EFT then its your mistake, you can still easily trap EFT in one circle.
how?
Just nerfed and missing essential fucntions or weaponry
I really dont know why the Python 4 hasnt been added yet, it wont be any different from what we have right now
What do you mean how? Do you think EFT is better in every scenario? Gripen airframe can withstand 13G’s in real life which means it can pull much harder than EFT in one circle, while EFT will be better in almost every other scenario Gripen can still beat in one circle.
However If EFT plays for energy trap and opponent will fall for it then its rest in peace.
It will be the strongest IR missile in the game. It’s like a inter generation missile. Still no iir seeker. But very strong flight performance.
They could at least add it like a magic 2 or AAM-3 and improve it over time
Its basically the same missle as AAM-3 besides fin design
Well and the Motor but iirc the AAM-3 is also supposed to be Mach 3-3.5
And a necessary addition for the advancement of technology without full powercreep
I agree
Python-4 is basically R73 without TVC whille pulling much harder, having more range and much more stronger IRCCM.
The only way i can see added into this game is with nerfed IRCCM, otherwise its game over for anyone who gets close to 6km range.
Python-4 is definitely better than any IR missile we currently have (Well, Short / Med range, 27ET is sort of in a realm of its own at long range).
I don’t think it’s too far away from being added though. Snail was even considering it way back when F16D Barak was being added.
If you’re fighting one circle you’re getting maybe 1 turn at 13g, after that you’re losing so much speed, you’ve energy trapped yourself. Besides with the 1.5x limit on airframe damage the typhoon will also be pulling 15+ g before ripping. and this is all contingent on your oppenent in the ef not just cutting throttle to cut inside your circle. gripen is lighter so it’s slighty more responsive at low speeds but the ef2000 has so much more thrust to weight it really doesn’t matter. it can just go up or accelerate away at will. It’s like trying to fight an f16a in something like a f4 with the margins not so far apart.
The AAM-3 and Python 4 both have UV IRCCM IRL
Thats why AAM-3 has nerfed IRCCM capabilities, difference is that Python-4 pulls much harder and it can do 180 degree turn while having more range than anything in this game.
It will be another big step in missile capability but should come none the less, almost every aircraft in Israeli rank 8 can use it, and the lack of it is definitely showing now that the Python 3 has become powercrept out of being decent through IRCCM
The AAM-3 is also SEVERELY limited in game because of no Bank To Turn which it utilizes much like Python 4 AAM-3 is suspected to pull around 50G
