I followed F1 since 1975 and it used to be extremely exciting, less regulated, and teams really ran what they brought. Six wheeled cars ,Fan cars etc. etc. Great time. Then the rules and regulations killed it until it became the boring parade we have today.
Fine example of freedom of choice and use of ingenuity being removed.
Now so many vehicles in the line up are simply redundant.
Every single thing Gaijin does is a ploy to get us to spend money in one way or another. Imo this was done bc the premium light tanks and light tank talisman purchases have plateaued, so now it’s time to change the meta/maps towards brawler game play. Guarantee you they have seen a rise in the purchase of stuff like the Turms and Chally since the map changes.
The new design of the crew skill screen is a good example.
“we need to put it right upon your nose, all the time!”
If you’re referring to the Challenger DS/OES - those aren’t brawling tanks, at all.
I play Warthunder on-and-off so I usually play it for 2-3 months and then stop playing for a year or more sometimes. I noticed when I came back recently the maps were trimmed down and the rotation was a lot more CQB oriented (actually its more like you play the same 5 maps over-and-over). I’m actually fine for that because brawling is my preferred playstyle and the camp fest at higher BRs was a bit over the top.
The issue with a lot of the old maps on arcade in higher brs (7.7+) is you had 1-3km engangement distances and you couldn’t go anywhere without getting sniped from a td from the other side of the map. There were a few maps I remember where one person could basically lock down an entire choke point and you couldn’t go anywhere.
Matches turned into big slogs and camp fests, often times running over 10+ minutes.
It’s not a sniping game because the map design doesn’t allow for anything other than close quarters maps designed for call of duty and battlefield.
Red sands is the best map in rotation. Me, and others are so sick and tired of urban tiny maps. Poor map design and people are getting fed up
Simply gaijin doesn’t play the game they nerf the flanks in all the maps remove sniping positions and add more and more CQB maps while the only real map for top tier that i enjoy is LONG TUNISIA true top tier map. as pacifica said that proves gaijin and even the staff doesn’t know what is happening in they’re own game.
Hidden for offensive, abusive, to be hateful conduct… haha yeah sure gaijin
Die wirst du hier nur schwer bekommen. Du befindest dich im Bereich in dem Englisch genutzt wird.
Vielleicht hast du ja auch nur, wie ich selbst schon, nicht die Übersetzung aus dem Übersetzer rauskopiert.
Ansonsten nutze DeepL Translate: The world's most accurate translator … super tool.
Kopiere deinen Text rein. Und dann wieder hier rein. Du kannst deinen Post auch noch editieren.
You’ll have a hard time getting them here. You are in an area where English is used.
Perhaps, like me, you have not copied the translation from the translator.
Otherwise, use DeepL Translate: The world's most accurate translator … super tool.
Copy your text into it. And then paste it back in here. You can also edit your post.
Any time I get maps like Vietnam where they completely removed all vantage points I just return to the hangar immediately.
I just had a match on 38th parallel…all the sniping spots are now blocked by rocks.
Another match on Alaska…the western flanking route is now outside the map boundaries…
Tactical positioning? Flanking? Sniping?
No!
Gaijin’s idea of tank gameplay is just to funnel them all into one tight spot to let them brawl…
Not only para 38.
Sands of Sinai - Removed all the high ground forcing the players for only fight for the town or the empty flat space in the other side (Ruined)
Jungle - removed the cover and bunkers in the middle of the map forcing the players for fight the river and jungle zone making the middle of the map and shore side even more useless than before (Ruined)
Maginot - basically compresed the map creating another small stupid fight for town map, and making even worse the spawn camp problem, basically once your team controll B you can snipe enemy team from high ground (Ruined).
Middle East - sniping positions removed making the map in another full CQC fight for the town only (Ruined)
If all of this is not enough they removed the only good version Port Novo. and big open version of Mozdok.
Right now i omly play 20 maps all the others are instant crewlock and after every update the list is smaller.
ofc its not!!! Thats my point!
Whats the point of having multiple types of round in the game if they all perform identical? why have ap or aphe even exist?
AP does AP things.
APHE does APHE things.
That is why they have different names.
Well, I had a big Tunisia battle today and the sheer amount of whinging and complaining about having to drive for a bit was… stellar. Apparently the target audience these days is millenials and whatever came after them who apparently have the attention span of a gnat on speed and can’t handle not being omg pew pew pew within 30 seconds.
Yet, it was a 15 minute battle where caps were traded quite frequently, and short of the spawn-to-spawn sniperbois there was a decent mix of fun (got to use my ATGM for once…). But apparently the sheer idea of having to drive around for a minute (whilst using cover, no less) is just… shocking and appaling to a large section of the playerbase. Who should really just go play arcade…
^ This Thank you!
Anyone is welcome to use their native language if that is all they know, but this is the English part of the Forum, so as mentioned you can still communicate with Players or Staff in English via Translation apps
Staff do play the game… so do players that hate sniping games… many players just hate being snipped out of no where… players just do not want to hide during the entire game, because that is just boring… so player feedback has been taken into consideration on issues like this… and really, on issues like that, there can not be any real compromise that will make everyone happy…
I think Gaijin also uses the map like/dislike data to make map changes, so it’s not just new players doing it.
I rarely see anyone complain out loud about maps being too big unless they are poorly designed.
All the feedback I see on the forums is a huge load of complaints about the more restrictive map design.
There is a very easy solution. A proper map filter. Those who want quick action brawls could select the 80% of maps that allow their kind of gameplay, while those who like proper tank gameplay could select the proper maps.
I’d be more than happy with that solution, so long as there was a decent map pool for both (would hate to pick long range only maps and get the same map 25 times in a row)
So how about instead of forcing the game in CQC garbage where if one team has success the other team is instantly wiped out. There can be longer range maps with the option of getting in CQC and also giving laser range finder to all tanks instead it being a module so people grinding top tier tanks can stop picking CQC maps on their favorites.
Or you spend much of your game time looking for pionts which have been removed since you last played and you think you are going mad…then quit the game is disgust never having seen an enemy
Just for example, 373 votes and 370 are against the last map changes… player feedback they said…
