I play them but I am more used to playing WW2 tanks in a game on a WW2 map

just imagine that if you are using those spot, the same unkillable russian bias T55 can use those spot as well. so yeah while I must admit that getting killed because you can’t snipe isn’t fun, but i can assure you that getting killed by a T55 that has a beautifull 180° view on your spawn while he can’t be killed due to his totally balanced armor is almost as not fun. (im not saying that the map change are great, actually i just want more flank route and less camping map).
And to have more flank routes maps need to be bigger and made to support more freedom of movement.
you can have small map with flank routes, for example advance to rhine have flank routes. bigger map don’t have flank route, its just a open field where you just wait till you get shot from the other side of the map by a guy camping.
Advance to Rhine is urban map with buildings. Those are not really flanking routes but different streets.
Bigger maps do have flanking routes. Bigger map doesn’t need to be flat and open. Mozdok is big map and it has numerous of flanking routes. SB Mozdok is even bigger and more versatile. Big Tunisia also has lots of flanking routes. Much more than smaller version.
I noticed they hammered Mozdok by redding out huge areas so you can no longer go there which is stupid and a real shame.Trouble is you dont even know until you made the journey there.
Having read so much on here and reddit it seems some players are just too unintelligent to find cover in rolling hills and a seemingly featureless map. The cant take a few seconds to scan the area and see the pathways and hull down positions available to them. It has to be a forest or a building to hide behind then they whine about urban maps as well.No way to appease these morons so Gaijin simply shouldn’t bother.
They should make the good maps they were making and have some faith in them.
Mozdok, South Spawn, right flank was beautiful. You could set up in a TD or you could push round C cap.
But you know, now you have to go over open ground. Where practically everyone, barring anyone on the reverse side of B, can shoot you.
Also shoutout to Second Battle of Al Alamein (BR5+ Dom2, conq1) and Voloklomosk. I find playing fragile lights/scouting focusing on scouting, flanking and hull-down potshots very enjoyable on these maps. Hurtgen Conquest 4 is promising, but the objective being in the firing line with no cover kind of turns it into a simple death match even if there’s some fun hull down routes.
From perspective of 4.7-6.3 british at least, I want more maps like these.

yep i don’t like cqc too but a baghdad map would be so damn fire i would probably be happy every time i find it
