They ARE set to 100% and still look like junk.
Honestly, considering that they are supposed to look like they have been used in the field rather than sitting in the museum, I’m not that bothered by paint damage.
That’s not the point, if you want your vehicle to look like total crap like below then that’s your prerogative . But if WE pay premium and have OUR slider set to 100% explain why YOUR preference is shoved down our throats? Also there seems to be some anti-American bias here as well from the general appearance of everything from PT boats, to P-38’s to tanks. This amazes me considering how much USA players sustain Gaijin with their money, compared to the freeloader cheapskate broke players from “other countries” .
This just looks like a poor broke rusty tank abandoned in a tank graveyard waiting to be set as a target practice for an A-10 or ATGM training
Your argument is based on resentment it appears rather than understanding that preference of appearance is subjective, so there is no correct answer. I, personally, like that they don’t look like they were just whisked from a museum and pressed into service that day. The bent fenders, paint chipping, and wear marks, to me, show signs of rugged and hard use as military machines are designed for.
Granted, there are some models that are older and need HQ texture updates, but otherwise I prefer the rugged look over the toybox appearance.
Best solutions would simply be that 100% makes the tank look factory new
You have no clue as to what I do or don’t resent. To state such implies a pious arrogance. I could just as easily twist your statements by saying that if that slovenly trashy look is what you like, then you must live like a complete filthy slob, and because you can’t afford premium, you hate and resent the USA. But I really have no idea how you live, how much money you have, and I have no clue regarding anything about you, further I have no business saying any of that stuff at all, right? The vehicle looks like garbage period. To grind and grind and get something that looks like that is a just slap in the face. You have not provided a reason why the slider at 100% shouldn’t look factory new.
Quite a targeted and resentful quote here if you ask me.
Somehow a preference turned into a personal insult. This, despite me living in the US as well as working on C-17s that have obvious paint chippage, oil streaks, and sometimes dirty MLG wells not so unsimilar to what we see in game for aircraft.
Again, this opinion on appearance is subjective. This doesn’t mean your opinion is invalid, I simply don’t agree. The model of the M103, to me, looks dated and dull and needs to be refreshed to current quality standards.
I certainly wouldn’t mind this option for paint, but for the overall look it may require larger than intended visual model reworks to the small details.
Read it again. And cherry picking quotes proves nothing. It’s just Passive Aggressive 101
Simply saying that doesn’t remove the unnecessary comment.
Same goes for the “Resentment” comment, but make you deal, let’s call it a draw and we’re even. And I don’t buy the argument that the model can’t be tweeked for technical reasons. Many of the newer models can and do look nice and there are also skins, as well. Now if you argue it isn’t on the snails radar, and they don’t want to allocate the resources and money, I would agree.

Was based on this. Using loaded language and veiled insults. So I will not retract it. Speaking of cherry picking, you chose to not respond to anything constructive.

Ye sure, but I, personally, would be happy to have a factory new paint / texture. Models are ok even though I’d prefer factory new
