Stock loadouts on some aircraft need to be reconsidered

well, here am i again to complain once again. this time about stock loadouts on some aircraft.

to begin we should talk about one of the worst,
the phantoms
f-4j and the uk ones aswell (exept the uk ones get the vulcan pod)

for a plane that is known for its decent radar and radar missiles, you do not get any radar missiles stock and for some aircraft you straight up get a bad missile, giving them at least 2 aim7Es would make their stock grind much easier.

the next contender. the mig21MF/SMT

you get 2 bad missiles stock which are basicaly a joke unless you get a full downtier.

for this ones you could either give them 2 stock r60s or the ability to carry both r3r and r3s in different pylons

where do i start with this, this plane gets 2 stock r60s, which seems ok right?
WRONG you do not get your internal gun stock, you gotta research it, or you know, replace your missiles with external gun pods on a plane that doesnt really turn

now, lets continue with another one, the Kfirs

the event one gets an actual balanced stock loadout so this is more to the c.2 and c.7

again with phantom syndrome they only get 2 9Ds stock, on this ones giving them python 3s stock would be a bit op (specially on the c2) so the best option would be to give them aim9Gs, a missile they could actually lead to use it better

now a few rapid fire ones.

-the F-16 MLU, the chinese one gets aim9Ps stock, rear aspect ones, this one could get at least the aim9p4 or be the same as the other 13.3 f16s and get 9Ls
-f117
-the skyhawks
-the T-2
-the f-16 aj (same reason as MLU)
-the f-104Gs (exept italian one)
-a few bombers whos stock loadout doesnt allow them to destroy a base

i really think some of this aircraft should have their stock loadouts to give players a better experience while stock grinding

Yeah, a lot of aircraft need a stock loadout buff.

My list of aircraft so far is:

  • Jaguars (all but the GR1A as it does start with missiles, but should probably also start with at least a few small bombs)
  • Super Eterndard
  • Eterndard EVM
  • Harrier Gr3 & AV-8C
  • Phantoms (most of them)
  • Tornado F3/ADV
  • Tornado F3 late
  • Sea Harrier FA2
  • AV-8B+

For a lot of strike aircraft, I do wonder whether stock bombs would be better than stock missiles. But in eitehr case, guns only sucks

imo the etendard should have its magic modification at least lowered to rank 1, the same as the regular etendard, having their defense missile as a tier 4 mod is dumb

Yep, thats the other half of this. Not just improving stock loadouts but making the grinds far less cumbersome. Like with the F3 Late, why do we have to grind out the Skyflash STs. We are never going to use them over the 2x Aim-120 you get stock.

i still find funny that the german f104 has to research 2 different aim9b mods
2 different mods, for the same missile

2x AIM-9E stock at 11.0 on an F104 platform cannot be fun

The difference in the stock weapons between the F-4J and the F/A-18A (only .3 higher and next on the tree) is very stark.
F-4J gets two AIM-9Ds.
F/A-18A gets two AIM-7Ms AND two AIM-9Ls.

F-4J stock is absurd at 12.0.

Yep, its a classic example of what I like to refer to as “Legacy Stock loadouts”. They’ve clearly changed their stance on what is necessary for aircraft to have stock for newer aircraft, but have failed to go back and update older aircraft to the similar standard

The Mig-23MLA and F-4F have similar issues. The Mig-23 is stuck with just 2 R-13Ms stock, and it doesn’t get R-24s until T4 which sucks. The F-4F has Aim-9Js at T4, so it’s stuck with only 9Es until then.

The etendard IVM is fine. The super etendard really needs the magics moved to a lower rank so research is faster.

The jaguar is fkn useless at 10.7 with just guns. Cannot even bomb anything if you wanted.

I just think ground attackers at a bare minimum should always start with at least a few bombs. It’s the default for some, like the Tonka, but not all

Completely agree. The 10.7 jag with stock fuel tanks is laughable.
