except the BIS is better it can carry 4 R13 M1s which are basically just 9Js very solid missiles or 6 R60Ms which are good dogfight missiles
and it has a way better engine and TWR with 7,340 KG of thrust to the J7D 6,750KG

J7D has less kill potential due to carrying less missiles than the BIS a lower TWR slower acceleration and a slower climbrate its only advantage is turning slightly faster due to be a bit lighter and it has 12 more countermeasures

there all .3 from eachother for a reason

probably the worst take ive ever seen every 10.0 current even the F4C can run away from things in uptiers whether it be a F105 or MIRAGE IIIC
the F5C cannot run from anything it would literally be like a SU25 with no flares

the hunter F6 is already actual hell to play when theres a mirage with magic 1.

this guy wants its supersonic peer with a much more reliable missile AND FLARES to be same BR

the F6C is a lower br and infintely better without flares and no missiles the F5C wouldnt be higher than 9.3

i guess supersonic (transonic at the very worst) turning isnt high speed anymore. If youre not controlling your turns to stay above at leat 0.98 mach you are being an absolute fool.

(actively ignores that f-5 is not a good trader between speed, MER and thrust. You can’t have two of these like with say a phantom (good maneuverability and thrust at super slow speed) or MiG21 (good maneuverability and thrust at high speed), the f-5 can either have speed, or maneuverability, or thrust in combinations.

No, cause the flareless planes that can’t dodge j7d missiles can dodge f5’s missiles, and the planes that can outdogfight j7d’s CAN outdogfight f5’s as well.

Since when 70 CMs is less than 50? If anything, it’s the F-5s the ones with least CM’s. J7D has 72 flares, MiG21s have 64 flares, F5C has 60 flares and F-5E has 40 flares. J7D pops one flare at a time, MiG21 flares twice at a time, F-5C one at a time, F-5E twice at a time.

You can get the nose on from enough before the f-5 spots you. F5 also requires to point the nose to kill people but that seems to upset you more than having a missile bus be a missile bus with good missiles. Also i’ve faced like 10 or less TRFs in all the years i’ve been playing the f-5s. And when I did i would basically take out their supertemp with one of my missiles and then strike the tonkas head on with another aim9e.

F-5 thrives because its a fantastic gun platform to third party other people. The nose is very responsive with mouse aim and the guns are easy to use.

It lacks the energy retention to strong-arm others in a dogfight.

But I agree that the F-5C is overtiered and the J-7D undertiered

I repeat once again, if su25 can outdogfight f-5c then everything else can. As I said, just don’t stick to sea level two circle dogfights.

its really easy to maintain energy in them still. just takes a tiny bit more effort than just moving your mouse, tap a rudder key and you build speed back up. I play Hunters this way and ti works incredibly well, works for F-5 too and lets it sit at mach 1

This, gentleplayer, is what makes a plane be absolute trash. A good plane needs no third partying to thrive, it decides the engagements, the status it sees itself in, and the match flow. A plane that thrives off ratting and catching slow people off guard but can’t do else is dogshit because every other plane that can do much more can do this as well. Funnily enough, it does have energy retention, but it lacks thrust and high speed maneuverability OR low speed authority to do anything.

this again depends on model the F5C bleeds a bit faster than the hunter but its faster so it can take more energy in while the F5A would just be worse and the F5E or NF5A french premium are just way better
